Mayor Dewey, along with Ronaldo, are my two least favorite characters in the show.
Both are just one-dimensional archetypes at best and exist only for the plot at worst. There's no depth to either of them, which makes it hard for me to care much about them. If Dewey wasn't just the bumbling middle age dude with no real talent and Ronaldo wasn't just the typical /x/ poster, then they might qualify as worthwhile. But, as of now, they're dead to me.

I'm afraid not, KH's light is a general force/substance of goodness while darkness is the same for corruption and evil. A Gem's projection, if The Classroom Gems short is any indication, is more like a hard-light hologram that's used to interact with physical universe.
If that were the case, the Heartless wouldn't even be able to appear in well-lit rooms or in broad daylight (and they do).
But I wouldn't rule out weapons like the Laser Light Cannon doing some damage to 'em.

Ronaldo Fryman arrives home from Peedee's tiny, miserable funeral service, loosens his tie and heads sullenly to his room. His parents had been so ashamed of Peedee's actions that
they decided the best route to atonement was burying the body in an unmarked grave with a holy bible and american flag. And, of course, donating a large amount of future fry profits to the
Wounded Warriors Project. It will be a huge loss, but surely they'll make some of that money back from the eventual influx of curious tourists. Already Beach City was
seeing dozens more unfamiliar faces than usual. The arcade and ice cream shop where the faulty bombs were found, once sparsely populated with legitimate patrons, now
bustle with activity. The parking lot where the Meheswarens were found murdered in their car, while still taped off, has become a popular spot for teenagers to stand
around, smoking e-cigarettes and pounding PBR tallboys. A mere three days into the whole ordeal and Ronaldo already hates what the town is becoming. This isn't weird.
It's just sad.

from its fangs as it corners him, flips him over and bites into his exposed belly. He is lifted and dropped at the feet of a hooded figure, his insides spilling onto

oh, didn't know. sorry, i'm a bit slow today.
And here's one of the Peridots.
This has several problems, namely in that the dome pieces, pneumatic T-pieces, and likely some of the other parts don't come in the colors this pic uses, which is in general a big problem with designing stuff in Lego CAD programs like LDD.
However it serves very well as a proof of concept for building Lego Gems, and with some Bricklink assistance a Lego Peridot'd be physically buildable.
Aaand I forgot the picture. Great.
Anyways Lego waifu building in general is some pretty interesting stuff besides fapbait. Balancing between sturdiness, part availability, and articulation whilst keeping shapes and other features makes for interesting exercises.
I'm not sure how to feel about this whole discussion, but I'm glad some guys hopefully got to learn about Lego.
A Steven and Connie wouldn't be too challenging in theory, come to think of it. At the very least basic colors and figure could be preserved, though I think Steven't rounded forms would present a challenge if one were to try and go for it. LDD will provide the answers.
