There's not a lot of prominent Star Fox females, that's the problem. There's Krystal, Katt, Miyu and Fay from the non-canon Star Fox 2, Amanda and Peppy's daughter from Command, and Fara Phoenix from that Star Fox comic where Fox was a hot-headed Freudian mess.
Three of those aren't canon anymore, and two of those are part of Star Fox Fanfiction: The Game.

Assuming you're talking Krystals position, Platinum stated they'd use her. While this is provided they make another, I believe it's implied that she and literally everyone else except for Fara, Miyu, and Fay are ok.
They cannot simply just do this and expect people not to know, they tried this with Other M in fucking over the Prime series, but that backfired hard. The only (handful of) people who still get asshurt by Krystal and the sequels in general are just autistic purefags, the equivalent of Genwunfags and meleefags.
