so here's a prototypical description of the mascot I did. obviously stuff can be changed and added upon, but this is just something I came up with based off of what I've seen being discussed. looking at it now, maybe I took this a bit too seriously and went overboard with it, it's gonna take up two posts.
Name ideas (undecided): Matthew Quinn Tanuki ("QT," not sure if he'd be called Matt or Quinn), Reggie, Avey (totally not my biased personal choices)
Height: 5'8
Hair (undecided): short-ish if any
Default/basic bodytype: fat distributed normally with very slight bottom and top-heaviness, nowhere close enough to make his gut seem small by comparison though (obviously this can be changed to whatever on a picture by picture basis, this is just the default)
Appearance
>very fluffy neck/upper chest fluff
>hair could potentially look like a leaf
>maybe a big fupa?
>streetwear: normal t-shirt and jeans or cargo pants, maybe glasses or some shit as well
>clothing at home: when full nerd/NEET mode either just an undersized tank top or pullover/hoodie, no pants, underwear (maybe briefs?) optional, and maybe socks. if not a shut-in, same as his streetwear
some other physical traits to differentiate him from other tanuki need to be decided

Wel, there's that, if he was a magical tanuki and he could shapeshift and shit, then he'd be able to bloat massively, become more androgynous or manly, get thin to get around if he's too fat or tired or grow like a macro to cater to different fetishes.
But I'd make it a tiring ability, like, he wouldn't be able to keep it up for long, and he'd revert to as fat as he was before transforming. That would always be his default state, his powers cant' actually change his physique for real, just temporarily shift it.
