Can't really explain the Lana. She's just built for hugging. Lily is cutest Loud when she's being a little ball of giggles and fun (i.e. the first episode,) as opposed to a sentient being (i.e. more often than I'd like.) Maybe I put her a rank too high, I admit.

Did you know that some people haven't noticed how Lori's voice is pure sex? And how she's actually a genuinely likable character when she isn't being unfairly made into the villain? Which is admittedly a lot, but still. She's also genuinely mature and sensible.
Leni and Luna are kinda... middling. I think I've gotten desensitized to Leni after seeing her so much here. Luna's cool in every episode except the one that actually focuses on her, so it's a tough call.

Lynn is a bitch. The sort of bitch that comes into your room and punches you and doesn't understand why you don't like it. Lori doesn't do that shit. Lola is also a bitch. The sort of bitch who gets angry at you for not showering her in complements, and doesn't stop attacking until you apologize and kowtow to her.

Lisa might end up higher in the future, but as it stands, she's nothing more than "lol potions exploding or whatever." It's also cringey when her nerd stuff is just "lol I guess science is just mixing chemicals together and also a bit of algebra occasionally." I mean, c'mon. The Simpsons writers looked up the ten thousandth digit of pi for an off-hand comment by a minor character, long before it was a google search away. You can't at least give her a long-term project to reference? Like, a zombie virus, or a shrink ray, or a cure for some kind of illness? Maybe a perfume that makes you smell like a piano sounds? There's all kinds of missed potential there.
Also, the whole "four-year-old with a PhD" thing is stupid. College requires hard work and time. Years' worth of time. And it destroys any attempt to imagine her growing up as a normal person. Makes a lot of potential fanfics harder to work with.

The fun in 1 was running through rooms with guts and reflexes and going on one long beautiful melee combo. Corner baiting made the game pitifully easy and was obvious cheese. Meanwhile low to mid level play in 2 is ENTIRELY BASED around corner baiting and high level play is based around baiting and autistic enemy placement memorization. And guns, guns, guns.
If you ever actually cared about the masks you just announced yourself as plebius maximus. That shit was never important in either game, the good characters don't have any stupid gimmicks. Unfortunately those same characters have the shittiest levels. You're fucked either way. Might as well just replay the same four levels as Tony forever and pretend you're playing a real sequel to HM1.

It seems to work by line of sight in HM1, if an enemy has his back to you and you step into a corner briefly and from far enough away he won't notice. In HM2 all enemies have ESP and even if an enemy has his back turned to you and is thirty feet away, if you stick one foot out from behind a wall, he will INSTANTLY turn around and chase you like a fucking homing missile. You will routinely corner bait enemies without even meaning to.

Plenty of levels have gun enemies outside of shift-view range that will shoot you. Besides, it's an issue of being 'good', it's an issue of memorizing enemy placement. Play the level enough and you will pick it up automatically. It doesn't mean you've gotten any better, it just means you've figured out where the 'traps' are. It's shit design. Like I said, if you've played the glass room section in Hot N Heavy you've played HM2.

Even though Lisa is my favorite I will admit that her lack of spotlight and vague science activities have made her character kind of rotten. Kind of pisses me off because they've shown time and time again that she can do cool shit with her science. I don't understand why they don't have more fun with that. Lisa has the potential to be an entertainment goldmine.
