He was still in his pajamas, attire he hoped to stay in until bedtime. He hoped his Dad didn't have any chores for him to do that would require getting dressed. He only got one Saturday a week, and he had planned on spending it nose-deep in comic books. His Dad's tone didn't suggest he was in trouble, but sometimes it was hard to tell.
Lincoln put his comic on his bed and peered out into the hallway. "Yeah, Dad?" he called over the normal ruckus of his house. His Dad was nowhere to be found.
"In here, son." The voice came from his parents bedroom, a place normally off-limits to all Louds, unless with permission from either parent. His sisters in the hallway fell deathly silent. Lola and Lana stopped fighting, Lynn stopped practicing her soccer drills, Luna paused her rocking, and even Lori's fingers fell silent on her phone. All eyes were on him. They all knew why children got called into their parents room.
Lincoln gulped. The only time he or his siblings were ever called into the bedroom was when they done something REALLY bad. He thought back frantically, trying to think of anything he did that might warrant this kind of retribution.
Nothing came to mind as he hung his head and walked slowly past his sisters, as if on his way to the electric chair.
"Dead Loud walkin!" Lana shouted as he passed. He wasn't even paying attention. All that mattered was what he did, and how he would survive whatever punishment meted out by his parents.

That's what I'm suggesting 'not' to do.
TL;DR shit here, I think the "random quotes" and "random fake quotes" way of starting and posting in threads is garbage, and generally only invites more shitposting. But that's just me, and sometimes it "works". It's in this way that adds to mods seeing threads as spam, because people just keep making them that way, and it just keeps inviting the same tired old posts. These don't help the "situation" at all, and justify the mods deleting threads when they just keep being made like this.
With trying to start a "general" thread, it should just be obvious that that's not going to go over well. Mods, and plenty of people who use the board, hate generals, just fundamentally so, and starting a thread with a gigantic ass post of links and info generally isn't going to make for a solid OP. It's again, this way, that leads to the mods sort of being justified in a devil's advocate kind of way. They don't want generals, especially when a show isn't actually airing new episodes, and then here comes someone trying to make a general.
I'm not saying there's a guarantee that they won't be deleted, but generally I've seen that they won't delete a thread if there's actually something 'new' in it, or if you just wait a while after the last one.
I mean, I feel like it's pretty easy to make a thread, even despite the mods being poor, but people just do so so stupidly and instinctively that they don't think about what they're doing and immediately get defensive.
In any case, I digress. None of this changes the mods being way too restrictive, and there's always the infamous [Anti-Nick Bias] that people like to throw around. All I can suggest is, if you absolutely feel like you need or want a thread on /co/, think about how you're going about it. There were, like, two threads yesterday, up at the same time, so who knows.
