I've considered it a lot how much it would actually suck to get swallowed, which is why I tend to prefer safe or less cruel vore. It would be fucking horrifying to be stuck in a stomach where you don't have a lot of space, what little air you have burns and smells, it's so dark you can't really see anything and the worst part - you know you're going to die in a slow and painful way because there's no escape in sight. It's just not something you could come in to terms with no matter what.
The panic would be real, even for most of the hardcore vorarephiles.

If you have oxygen, you keep converting that to CO2 which makes you feel like suffocating and it's still horrible.
I'm not sure if a stomach would have much of that though. Acid causes some gases to form and I'd imagine they would replace all the normal air. If you're not breathing in oxygen you don't really feel like suffocating because there's no oxygen to get converted into CO2. Sure, breathing in that burning air sucks, but it probably sucks a lot less than regular suffocation.
Then you start to get woozy, your vision starts to disappear and soon after it's lights out for you.

You need a pretty consistent level of oxygen to keep someone conscious. Try as you might you don't really get a proper air flow in a stomach.

The muscle movement through stomach is a pretty slow and not violent one. It doesn't close up on itself besides at the very end. It's not powerful enough to grind anything, rather it's there to mix up everything evenly and make sure things don't get stuck in some corner.

What I like to believe is that it's sort of like slowly disappearing in a strange but not very unpleasant void. You get suspended in place in darkness to your death.
The way no surface feels even or solid but will carry your weight anyways would be one of the weirdest parts about it.
I really don't enjoy the thoughts of drowning or suffocating in a claustrophobic place. I've had vivid nightmares about that and the feeling is very traumatizing.

Scaring the living shit out of prey is one of the most fun concepts in vore to me. Having people die off is never very fun to me no matter how you wrap it around. I can easily see why they'd do what they do.
The last I paid attention to that they do it on certain pictures but not others so I'd assume they have very clear rules about this between the artist and commissioner. None of us are really in position to judge the tastes of others who make or pay for art that we still enjoy they leave up for others to view freely.
