Comfy?
>>3898959
Hope so. I'm taking residence in here and letting the last thread blow over on it's own.
>>3898959
So cute...
>>3898985
>>3898995
Me too... Just wanted to hang out with you guys.
How is your night going? Did you have a fun weekend?
I'll post more comf.
>>3898995
Threads have been distinctly lacking in comfy
>>3899015
I worked all weekend. I had a nice 4th of July off though, even if I didn't get anything done on any of my current projects.
>>3899023
Comfy is a state of mind. If we work towards making others comfy, we'll become comfy as well.
>>3899031
What are your current projects?
>>3899015
It was a pretty chill weekend, mostly just read and practiced stuff. What about you?
>>3899054
Sick, but got work done. Helped a friend out of an abusive relationship with another friend, which sucks, but things are getting better. Was honestly bummed for a while, but helping people perks me back to 100%.
What'cha read and what'cha practice?
>>3899041
A blues song likely to be about Fournier, and I still haven't started mixing Carrot Farmers Part 3 yet, even though I've had most stuff recorded for a while now other than vocals.
I finally decided to join the Discord, can someone invite me?
>>3899076
Practiced pretty lines, putting myself through loomis in the hopes I can draw the prettiest lines some day.
Ouch, abusive stuff sucks, I hope things work out for you and your friends.
>>3899077
>A blues song likely to be about Fournier,
This is amazing!
I'm recording the audiobook for chapter 3 of Reichstagsbrand right now!
That's so awesome! How is it going? How far along is it?
>>3899078
What will it take to make you shut the fuck up about that?

REPOSTING IN THE GOOD THREAD
I really love these ideas. I'll try to do something with it in the story.
>>3899134
I've got nothing other than some guitar riffs and progressions. Still have to read those fics about him before I start actually writing the lyrics. Hopefully the lyrics won't be too much of a problem, otherwise I might have to drop it in favor of writing about something else.
I did buy a slide though, so that was fun to fiddle around with.
A Zootopia Greentext, /ztg/. Part 2 - A Barside Surprise, and a Wild Ride
>Nick gave her a smug smile, leaning back into his seat, “Were you expecting something else, Carrots?”
>Judy stared in disbelief. Nick had never been this bold before. Was it the drink? Or was it something else?
>She bolted up and stormed towards the Bartender.
>The Bartender put another two glasses onto the counter and winked.
>Judy grabbed the two glasses without saying a word, walking back to Booth 12.
>”Back so soon Carrots?”
>Judy downed the rest of her first Carrot Cake cocktail quickly. She had to think of something.
>Nick had been getting more physical with her, starting last week. At first she thought nothing of it.
>Maybe… Yes. And it wasn’t like she hated the contact either.
>The rabbit gave him a sly smile, “I can’t leave you alone for even a minute Nick.”
>”I’m not going to leave and hustle anyone Carrots, if that’s what you’re thinking.”
>She saw Nick reach for his drink, she intercepted it.
>”Carrots what are…”
>The rabbit put the fox’s paw on her cheek
>”Because I’m Nikko’s Bun.”
>>3899123
That's awesome anon! Share some drawings if you like, we'd love to see them!
And thankfully it wasn't violent, just one sided in the give-and-take ratio. Relationships are a skill, and you need to learn how not to be trampled over. She just needed some guidance from a more experienced mentor.
It'll all be good. Things used to be good, and things will be good again. All the problems in the world are just for right now.
>>3899160
>Nick glanced into her eyes, before looking back at her cheek. He rubbed it with his paw for a few seconds.
>Feeling her soft fur, and her cheek underneath, her warmth.
>For the past week, all he had been doing was brushing her arms or hands.
>Touching her back, or her shoulders.
>Nothing like this.
>Judy could tell he was enjoying it, something was clearly affecting him, she didn’t know exactly what though.
>Her thoughts were a mess, half keeping track of the plan, half wandering to Nick.
>He wasn’t exhibiting any symptoms of drug use, so all of this was him.
>A few seconds more passed before he slid his hand away from her cheek and grasp.
>He took a swig of his drink, finishing it off, ignoring the straw.
>The fox cleared his throat, “Uh, what’s gotten into you?”
>”I’ve noticed your little caresses.” She replied, “I’m giving you a sneak peek.”
>Nick blinked twice, his ears slowly going down, “A… Sneak peek?”
>It took him a second to process what was going on, “Oh!”
>Judy gazed at the clock on the wall, Nick had just finished his patrol.
>Nick followed her gaze and saw the time as well, “We should get going then.”
>He chugged some of his second drink and got up, paying for the drinks on the table.
>Judy slowly got up as well, keeping her eyes on the fox.
>Nick was definitely not acting like himself, and she was going to find out why that was.
>She left her second drink untouched as the two left the bar to get a taxi.

>>3899205
thank you ma'am
A janny/mod disposed of the master ruseman in the previous thread.
>>3899208
Yep, those are exactly the two stories I've bookmarked. Apparently I lit a fire under the author of Reichstagsbrand's ass and he said he'll have chapter 4 ready soon since there's apparently something that happens I might want to incorporate into the song. I'll probably read them tomorrow when I'm less tired and more focused.
>>3899215
>not wham bam slam the lamb
>>3899234
I'm so glad chapter 4 is coming out soon! Super exciting to hear! And the author will be very appreciative of you making that song, too. It really will mean the world to him!
>>3899271
Maybe lewd.
Depends on how well I like my attempt at it.
If I don't I'll just continue the comf.
That last thread was a mess but hopefully everything is better now?
Otterly here with an update for Getaway: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11951807/5/Getaway
Took some liberties with how the police force works in Zootopia in this chapter. The detective exam only requires one year of service and an interview with the chief, who promotes the candidates on an individual case by case basis. Typically this will translate into the ideal candidate having more than eight years of service and plenty of arrests. In this case Bogo just likes Fangmeyer so much that there's a relatively low chance that he won't give him the job.
Next chapter: Lambchops, WildeHopps, and everything in between
>>3899284
Hopefully I can do it justice. It's a lot harder writing a song when you're not entirely sure what to write at first. Pack It Up was just the right idea at the right time and it really hit me like a truck when I was writing it. Hopefully I'll get that feeling when I read the fics.
>>3899373
Pack it up was great! You are a super cool duder Panda!
>>3899373
It really showed. I think we've got some sort of fairy in these threads because the number of times some really great content has resulted from some sort of fey mood it starting to get a little suspicious.
>>3899373
Gadda agree with >>3899449, you're a stand up, brilliant guy.
You'll enjoy reading the fics, and after you sleep you'll be rested and feeling just right for Fourneir.
>>3899449
>>3899469
>>3899486
Thanks! That really means a lot to me! Despite it's simplicity and shortness in length, I'd say it's my best work so far. I'm extremely proud of how it turned out, though I know I could have done it better. Vocals could definitely do with some EQ automation to remove some of the plosions and other resonant frequencies.
Perhaps when I get more stuff made I'll release some kind of compilation of re-masters or something for you guys. Like an album of some sorts.
>>3899516
You really nail the feeling of the song right out the gate and you got your voice basically perfect. I've been listening to it on repeat basically since the day you released it and I'm probably not the only one. You're a super talented dude and honestly I'm a little envious.
>>3899563
Funny little tidbit of info for ya that I forgot to tell weaver. The laugh at the end was a totally last minute addition. So last minute that I only did it on the last two vocal takes out of 10. The first time I did it was completely spontaneous and on the spot and even ended up being the take I used.
Man am I glad I put it in.
for those who don't know yet, there will be a comic book, prequel to the moovie, release is on th 27th september, mark your calenders, and enjoy summer break!
>>3899632
That laugh made it, felt super authentic!
If you don't mind me asking, whats your advice on keeping your voice from straining?
>>3899671
By straining, do you mean staying on key or keeping your voice healthy in general?
If you mean staying (relatively) on key, the answer is projection. Sing from the chest, not from the throat. Sing loud, especially when trying to hit those high notes. Bending pitches rather than trying to hit the notes right on the spot makes it easier to stay on key as well, and can even sound better depending on the style you're going for. Also, confidence is absolutely CRUCIAL! I cannot stress that enough.
If you mean keeping your voice healthy, I honestly don't really do anything special. Knowing when to stop before you lose your voice helps though.
>>3899705
It's in the works! If all goes well and I don't procrastinate by playing DOOM again, I might even have it finished by tomorrow night. Pack It Up only took me 4-5 hours from conception to finished product. I hope you'll like it!

>>3901106
Just think, they probably had a nice service in Bunnyburrow rather than shipping out all those rabbits to Zootopia. Nick brought his friends and family along, they parties well into the night with a huge (probably carrot-themed) buffet. If they invited coworkers, all the little kids are in awe of Bogo's HUGE GUTS. Clawhauser fags it up with. Gideon, who provides the catering.
Then six months later Mick sees Judy's family for the last time. They tell him to stay in rich, seeing as he's family, but he'll never call. After all, how could he do that to them? He sees himself as both the cause and constant reminder of what they've lost. It'd be better for them if he just leaves, let's them mourn in peace, without him making it harder on all of them. Not to mention that anytime he looks at a Jopps, he just sees the same rabbit staring back with that big, happy gaze.

maybe it's the little victories that count, that's how Nick went from beat patrol to chief, and I can't accept it's been for naught, like the protestors against Chief Wilde, they aren't the entirety of Zootopia

Catching up on this thread and the last one... those hyena images were awesome!
Also, it's kind of interesting that from a Hyena point of view, Becca would be a total sub. Penetration is what the bottom does in the relationship.
It's all about going up to a strong dominant female and effectively begging them to let you sound their pseudopenis. Becca wanting to do it to others? Getting Erect? Other Hyenas would think she was a sissy.
>>3901329

>>3901483
Chief Wilde is basically a high-functioning wreck of a person. I doubt he could sustain a legitimate relationship. He might start his friends-with-benefits arrangement back up with Honey if him being a cop wasn't a deal-breaker, but I doubt he could commit himself to another romance.

>They both know it's a fucking terrible idea but keep it up
>Nick because he just needs the tenderness
>Honey because she keeps hoping he'll become the old Nick again, even a little
>Meanwhile Nick also starts a thing with July
I can't get enough of old, busted emotional wreck Nick
>>3901768
I'm hoping for a spinoff in which Honey and Nick haven't had sex in years, they spend a long night together after Wilde suffers through a particularly harrowing case, they grow closer and end up cuddling on the bed, Nick opens up a bit in her warm, welcoming company, and then they have some incredibly satisfying sex. Nick falls asleep in Honey's arms and wakes up with a smile for the first time in ages.
I want Honey to cure Chief Wilde her her magic badger vadger.

Is there any fic that goes into how absolutely insane and unsustainable this is?
Zistopia sort of gets around it by the collars only being implemented for less than a generation, but proto-zootopia has museums and shit with sections devoted to the tame collar. I mean, they're fucking polar bears. Why would they /ever/ decide, as a community, "yeah, we'll totally put up with being threatened into torturing our children".
They could rip those things off in a fucking second, they would never ever wear them or put them on their children unless they were down the barrel of an elephant gun or something.

That doesn't stop irrational people, and one of the main things that would make almost everyone be irrational is someone hurting their children.
You'd have individuals refusing that shit and cheating the system all over the place, and communities would constantly be organizing against it.
No amount of policing is going to be able to enforce a policy like that unless the preds are under constant supervision, which they literally cannot be, given how they're portrayed as otherwise free citizens in proto-zootopia.
