Quick fic shill. It's old and not my best work but a few people said "moar" and well, here it is slightly edited.
It's basically Nick's Mom and Judy have a heart-to-heart upon meeting each other. Just some headcanon stuff about Nick and his mom, and Nick's childhood.
I know she lives in Zootopia. I was too lazy to edit that part. Let's just pretend she lives in Unnamed Town because I wrote this before browsing /trash/ and seeing that one tweet about her.

Honestly? To me that would almost be a HAPPY ENDING, because it means Nick finally rests, it means he's able to find some peace, and somewhere, he might meet Judy again.
No, what makes the comic awful is the absolutely endless cycle Nick faces. A truly sad end would skip forward to Nick still doing the same routine well into his 90s with no signs that death would ever come for him.
