oh, fuck, I thought I was probably misreading because that seemed a bit odd of you to ask.
the link you're using probably has something like a .link or .city after the .onion, which is a proxy that makes it available from a normal browser. that being said, sometimes they fuck up and don't work with it, and using the normal tor link sans the .link in tor browser would be faster to load things overall, so it's often best to use tor browser for that shit. chrome with the .link proxy or some other proxy works just fine most of the time though.
