As someone who's done a few commissions and seen it in others, and does a lot of trades and seen it in myself, sometimes it's very nice to not have to worry about creative control.
Sometimes you do just want to hand someone a character and let them do whatever with it, you'd be happy to see anything with them. A YCH is just that.
Also keep in mind, some people aren't that creative. Johnny NeonFox Purpledick might not realize "oh, yeah, I like this kind of pose" till he sees it in a YCH and feels compulsed to buy it.
