I want this rabbit-lead Bounce House versus otter-lead Cuddle Camps / Snuggle Stations to be a thing.
Lets keep speculating. To what extent could the otter-lead Stations be thought to be more ideological, like they're actively trying to get predators to intermix with prey, LGBT animals to intermix with straight ones, and so on? And they do things like organize pride meetings?

Some starting as social clubs, others as meetings in abandoned structures, they eventually gained legitimacy as the property demands from rabbits helped to reestablish property values and anti-rabbit sentiments waned.

I do want to push the politics thing, though, because if I'm doing a fic I'm thinking of an otter guy that's this homosexual flamboyant who's actually this wannabe Martin Luther King Jr.
And he actually means it, though, he was raised by super tolerant mixed-race parents and has this grand left-wing idealistic crusade to make Zootopia a place where nobody has depression and nobody is homophobic and nobody has any anti-species views at all-- it pushes him to a fault, though, because he's socially thick and naive and also goofy in his flamboyance.

Oh, I know that very well, Anon. I'm not that bad off but I do get discouraged sometimes. I would suggest writing short requests to get your feet wet and get used to people reading and critiquing your work. If you find yourself feeling down about a prompt, it's much easier to say "I only spent a few hours on this" and then move on than it is with a feature length story.
