This is just me and it might sound weird, but I can't really get enough of it.
A good TF with a random undeveloped character can be nice every now and then, but a quality TF with a character I'm familiar with and a form that "fits" the character is pretty much incomparable to anything else for me.

I don't like Ivanks' art. It's either what you said or "girl to monster that doesn't look like the girl at all". And they all lose their minds and act lusty at the end, which is a huge turn-down for me. I like my transformed girls keeping their sanity and acting surprised, embarrassed or sad about their condition. It's even better when they don't even notice their transformation.
Cqmorrell is better in that regard, even though his art isn't that great.

If we go by the manga, which already has some ridiculous shit in it, Latias in the Emerald arc disguises herself well enough and appears to interact with others, though she communicates with telepathy. Funny how Latios never does any of this kind of stuff, at most he's been a psychic TV camera when he isn't on another OU team.

I believe it started with that for me but it kept going and I got hit with a full range of TF aspects before I was even 15, I think. The "what does X feel like", the bondage/non-con/submissive/mind-changing aspects, the exploring a new body in a sexy way (or just at all), the empowerment ideas, the dealing with various types of consequences, the physical adaptation, what the actual process would feel like no matter how painful. I even enjoy it a lot solely as a literary device rather than a self insert thing. As a result I enjoy almost any kind of TF, some more than others of course. It also basically lead into every other kink I have and is utterly ingrained in my personality. It's actually crazy when I think about it, but it feels weirdly precious to me compared to every other kink I have. Anyone else feel the same?

Feels really hard to try and explain it to people who see it and just think about how it's just pure body horror.
