People will jump to that conclusion but honestly the way Shane presented it was that Jaune was supposed to learn some kind of lesson from that. That it would be this major character changing moment and honestly it just sounded like another cool moment Monty wanted in. It was one epic thing that he thought was cool and wanted in regardless of what the characters personalities were like.

You know that actually could be a thing. It's been established that monty focused on cool fights with the thinnest reed of plot points to hold them together over anything else. The last two volumes have shown Miles Kerry and Gray working their asses off in the writing area to pre-plan and work on the story more. I don't think it will happen, but there's definitely now a non-zero chance they could bring her back, just probably not for a while I think.

True, there was a lot of pushback from what i saw in the fandom about her death. Countering that though was that comment Miles made during the livestream how he doesn't like changing things in the story due to "fan demand" which then kinda flies in the face of why they kept Roman around for as long as they did when he was originally supposed to be a bit villain in Volume 1, and then eaten by an Alpha in Volume 2.

It went something along the lines of "We really had no intention of keeping Roman around as long as we did. He was supposed to be some simple throwaway antagonist for volume 1 and dissappear but then we saw the fan reaction and kept him around. Then he was supposed to die during the breach but the production had to be adjusted and we couldn't work the scene in properly. (then the livestream they mention he was supposed to die by being ripped apart by an alpha).

Speaking of exploration, here is RWBYg's current build for Jaune Arc the Crusader on Diablo 3. Right now we currently have a legendary axe, and some moderate yellow rare armor. Follower is the Templar (naturally) and I'll try to make him more tank-defensive like the dubs decided he should be. Trips will decide what color(s) his armor will be.
