Not that anon but for me it's not necessarily about trust or whatever. Not entirely. I have this ideal in my head, this goal that I try to shoot for because it's basically the only thing I've got: I try to be I guess a 'net positive' on the world, mostly on the people close to me. I don't want to burden the people I care about with my day to day troubles, or even my doubts about who I am and wondering if I'm just a failure of a human afterall. They have enough things to worry about on their own, and the way I figure it, I've gotten this far by pretending already, might as well keep up the pretense and go on with whatever it is I'm doing.
Maybe talking about these things would help, I won't deny that. But it will DEFINITELY get whoever I am talking with to worry about me way more than they should be, and that's not something I want. They have more important things to worry about.

Not only that but like, good GOD, I can't even imagine being 100% fully honest with someone. I think this is an example of someone not having the balls to stick to their original plans.
