I'm being cautious as fuck around Federation Force, it could be decent but having a spin-off first and not something mainline isn't really leaving a good impression. Hope Nintendo doesn't pull off one of those Capcom-tier 'oh nobody is buying a shitty port/game so there must be no demand for the franchise' things.
F-Zero fans must be even more pissed by now though. At least Wipeout fans have some alternatives to look into once they're done, these guys though? Only Captain Falcon in Smash (which is a given) and two MK8-themed tracks. I bet there'd be people dying for HD re-releases with online play.

Well, yeah, but they allowed that game to be made in the first place. Zero Mission came out after Prime, but despite the latter getting two sequels, they just stopped making 2D games after ZM. I don't know if they thought more people enjoyed the 3D games, but even if that was the case, why focus exclusively on one aspect of a series that sell? 3D for home consoles, and 2D for handhelds seems like a match made in heaven. Instead they give a green light to Other M, see it flop, and just give up on the entire series.
Nintendo is sitting on a goldmine of IPs that any western developer would be able to milk for decades, with a constant stream of sequels. And while I don't want them to turn into EA, I'm perfectly fine with one new 2D and 3D Mario, Zelda, Metroid, etc., coming out for every generation - even if nothing new has been added to the formula.

Sizing up a character is much easier than sizing them down.
It's like if you tried to make Godzilla a Smash character....he wouldn't really be Godzilla anymore if he was 7 feet tall. He'd just be another semi-anthro lizard.
And likewise, if you made Ridley small, he wouldn't particularly be Ridley anymore because his huge size is a big part of his character.
And besides, he doesn't really have much that would differentiate him from Charizard. He'd feel like a semi-clone.

Ridleys character isn't being big either. He's usually the smallest or one of the smallest bosses in the games he's in. His character is being an unkillable murderous fiend, much like Ganondorf. Make him fierce maybe a lil bigger than Bowser, tuck the tail in the background, use Zero Missions wings, boom. Ridley. Taking aspects of all Ridleys to make a Smash Ridley would work fine as long as the good design cues were there for people to know who it is.

Looking good. Do you work from a lightly drawn sketch underneath that has the basic skeletal proportions and body masses penciled in? That helps me see if things look right before starting to add details. Also helps to start with basic shapes to make sure the perspectives on body parts is right.
Keep practicing anatomy and how skeletons and muscles work. Quick "two minute" drawings that help you focus on capturing the basic pose or gesture are good.
Hands take time. Find a drawing book that breaks hands down to the basics. I've filled a whole page with looking at hands from a drawing book before until I slightly started to get it. Tracing over a picture can help train your mind to understand how to draw something.
Keep all your work, every sketch. Put a date on it. It's fun to look back over past work to see progress, and where things can be improved. I'd like to see more of your drawings, lewd or not.
