I actually started out coming to the hunger games threads, cause I thought it was something new going on and I havent been on /b/ in close to four years now. It's also why I have these pictures of a shit yugioh card.
I was already a big fan of the Cup since the one where /adv/ shitcanned /m/ and /mlp/ in just one game, so when I saw that there were talks of a /trash/ team, I went into the deep end on that, and I've started helping out the cause.

I started watching the cup around 2014 when the PROPER A E S T H E T I C S first came into play. and it stopped being "matches with funny names and facepaint".
I cheered for different teams with various degrees of failure/success (I love you still /int/). But seriously putting /trash/ as a "Final boss" is stupid. A friend of mine offered to make proper A E S T H E T I C S few times and is a huge fan of the board since day one. He wasn't really happy with yesterday's decision.
I dunno if there's a point of trying still since the new commissioner is apparently a fagnut that gets triggered that /mlp/ actually has coaches decent enough to keep it out of the Babbies. So he wants to take out his beta frustrations on /trash/ instead. I got some news from Sou on the status of /trash/ and what we can expect. Long story short, /merit/ and aesthetics have decided to utilize /trash/ as an anti-FinalBoss and keep it as such.
Our team, our /trash/, is to remain an unofficial team that has the ability to join invitationals, friendlies, and host our own mini-games/tournies with the 4cc channel. And this is thanks to Sou offering to allow us to host mode our games we host. So thanks to him on that.
I know it sucks and we didn't want this when we first set out, but this is our lot and the most we can do is enjoy ourselves and have fun with it. It'll be okay.

Everyone I spoke to started having worries when it was announced aesthetics council will take over the cup and it seems that they were right in the assessment. Fetus cup proved lack of new blood as only /his/ and /p/ seemed to have enough stopping power to be considered interesting to cheer for. I doubt we will see /aco/ team or /qst/ one anytime soon. They're too busy with themselves to have fun.
Damn. I don't like the board, at all. I don't like the content neither the people that visit it, but this memery on your behalf is unfair. The upper circlejerk won't let you in, but if you do participate in unofficial events and try to put yourself out there as much as possible, I hope at least Lear will recognize you and let you in the cup, if not in Autumn, then in Spring at least.
