Of course, a lot of trannies also train their voices to go along with the changes that come with treatment, because on its own it's never going to go as low as it would have gone if they didn't have all that testosterone going through their body before puberty. Anyway, I have the suspicion that because of its culture and lack of a proper system in dealing with the transgendered, America has loads of crackpots who aren't legit transgendered, but like some of the shit that comes with the territory. I mean, take that person who was also pretending to be a 6 year old, and moved in with a pair of "foster parents". Yeah, I'm willing to bet that person isn't actually transgendered, and wouldn't stand up to the sort of testing that comes with the procedure in European countries.
But the American right is hellbent on taking the absolute worst of the bunch and pretending they represent the entire group. While the American left is pretending that even the craziest of the crazy should be taken at absolute face value, and doubting them is a form of oppression. And so it goes nowhere, and a lot of regular trannies just do what they've done throughout history: Be uncomfortably androgynous.
Anyway, the internet discussing transgenderism with all its charms and nuances kind of grinds my gears, I guess. As far as I'm concerned, it's here, it's a fixed percentage of the population, and it's an issue that arises because the human body is a suboptimal factory that sometimes gets shit wrong when building new humans. Dealing with it should be pragmatism, not politics.

The example I saw was a native of France living in Canada (Montreal, I think), who has an ego so fragile that they don't keep questions about their gender up for too long on any of their sites. I don't know the policy on transsexual treatment in either place, though: the transition such as it is happened in Canada. They're also a goon from back when SA was hardcore PC-town, so that could have had an influence.
I agree with your perspective on it, insofar as transsexual treatment is something that should be taken care of without so much red tape and extremist rhetoric and that false gender dysphoria comes with the territory of treating and aiding transsexuals. I'm biased in that I've rarely had a positive experience with a transsexual, though. They were either teens who flaunted their condition like teenage angst, or had so many other mental conditions (ADD, ADHD, narcissistic personality disorder) that identifying as the opposite gender seemed like a low priority thing to focus on first.

I think a lot of those people weren't trannies, but rather a byproduct of the system giving them attention. This behaviour is completely alien to me, as someone from probably one of the most progressive Euro country on the issue.
It's tranny paradox, really. You don't notice the ones that pass. They just walk by you in the street, and that's it. I mean, it's called "transgenderism", not "thirdgenderism". the very definition of the issue is wanting to go through life as the gender you feel like, not to stand out.

I think there's probably a number of LPers who fall into that trap.

Listening to Ragny again, I'll give credit where credit's due and say that their voice is definitely lighter.
