Kemono thread.
>no love for kemono, even on /trash/

Wasn't there already a kemono thread here?
>>2736500
too much loli
>>2736559
>Wasn't there already a kemono thread here?
That wasn't a kemono thread. it was a "mods are stupid for thinking kemno is furry even though I verbally acknowledge its being furry but I still wamt to post kemono on other boards regardless of rule 3 disallowing furry" thread
and i doubt it actually said "kemono" in the OP
>>2732853
>kemono thread
>no kemono in the OP
Is Kemono a style or just a term for Japanese-drawn furries? Can non-Japanese furries draw kemono?
>>2737486
It's manly a style and I know a few westerner able to draw in kemono style, pic related (akitokit)
For example, I don't consider Daigajin to draw in kemono-style even though he is japanese
>>2737271
But there is kemono sempai
>>2737942
>"Kemono" means beast. It's just how japs call furries. They also call western furry art kemono.
>I only see a dragon and a human girl.
?????
do these two lines not contradict each other????

Artist ?

No, the dragon is barely anthropomorphic to count.

If you switched the rabbit with the cat then that would just be lined up in "inferior to superior" order.
>faggots think kemono is furry
>faggots think kemono can only be anthro
Look what you did! This Charmander is sad now.
>>2738064
>No, the dragon is barely anthropomorphic to count.
What? "Beast" means "anthropomorphic"? And wouldn't "barely anthropomorphic" still make it beast, because it's anthro, then?
>there are people who identify kemono with furry
>there are people who identify guro with gore
>there are people who identify loli with CP
>>2738626
to be fair...
>kemono with furry
both are interchangeable on paper as they both mean humanized animals, even if they each have connotations of being either eastern or western
>loli with CP
2D vs 3D, simple
>guro with gore
this one confuses me, since "gore" in my understanding means blood and guts, while "guro" involves blood and guts, so I understand "guro" as always being "gore", but "gore" not always being "guro". But, what is guro?
>>2738331
"Kemono" means beast but it's short for the full term "Kemonobito" which means "beast person". So yeah, it has to be anthropomorpic.
Also, it has its roots on ancient art of the same name which was about representing humans with animals.
>>2738732
>both are interchangeable on paper as they both mean humanized animals, even if they each have connotations of being either eastern or western
Yes, but you can say exact same thing about anime and western animation and it is common to strongly differentiate between the two.
Both furry and kemono can be either anthtro, feral of were also.
>But, what is guro?
Literally 'erotic grotesque nonsense'. Doesn't have to be gorey and gore doesn't have to be guro (doesn't have to be art at all, can be 3D too – what are photos of accidents/murders). They often come together but not always.
Pic related is guro (monster girl precisely), yet it doesn't spill a drop of blood.
>>2739026
If that is true then how is a dragon not kemono if it is in your understanding, in your own words "barely anthropomorphic"
you even say the word has roots to mean animal reprenting humans, which implies "kemono" includes feral, which means the dragon needs not its current "barely anthropomorphic" status to be kemono, according to your own definitions
>>2739115
Because it's just a fucking dragon. It's as anthropomorphic as a real life cat.
>>2739145
ok but how about you acknowledge, consider, and respond to my second paragraph in that post now...
this isn't supposed to be a fight, or anything, uou know... but to reaffirm, you yourself called rh dragon "barely anthropomorphic", so you cannot call it feral now
>>2739026
If it has absolutely no physical features of a human but acts kinda like human or can speak, isn't it enough to make it a "beast person"?
>>2739238
>How about you go fuck yourself.
Jesus christ. I hope you realize you did this to yourself.
>I am going to claim a distinction, then seemingly contradict that very claimed distinction in the same post
>I will continue to contradict my own claimed distinctions
>when I decide I am tired of being called-out on my contradictions, I will arbitrarily-ignore arguments, then straight stop trying to defend myself when called-out on my arbitrarily-ignoring arguments
quality confersatiom senpai...
>>2739307
Trolling only works if the other person doesn't notice it. I know you're being dense on purposes so again, how about you go fuck yourself.
>>2739238
Both furry and kemono can be anthro (with both physical and psychical human features), feral (with little to no physical human features) or were (with little to no psychical human features, usually also looking a little more feral and 'wild'). Deal with it.
c-can't we all just get along ;_;
>>2739935
I know about "feral". It's fucking stupid. If it's clearly just an animal then it shouldn't be considered furry just because you want to fuck it.
And your definition of were is very poor, it's the same as feral "but wilder", it'd be better if you put it as "lacks human mental attributes" to contrast with your definition of feral. But that's also wrong. Werebeasts are so because they shift from one form to another.
Anthropomorhic means human-shaped. Even a bottle of Coca-Cola is anthro. Going by the exact definition gets you nowhere, you have to put a line. Furries are anthropomorphic animals that can double as a person because that's how they're used. Anything less is just an animal.
>>2740124
This is 4chan. People here are gonna get called out on being stupid and this people are stupid.
>>2740279
>it's clearly just an animal
Animals are 3D. Have you ever seen a dragon like in OP's pic IRL?
>it'd be better if you put it as "lacks human mental attributes"
That's exactly what I said. Learn to read.
>Werebeasts are so because they shift from one form to another
I have to agree with you on this one, yet werebeasts are also about a specific body type and/or mental attributes and don't have to shapeshift. Shapeshifting from full human/anthro to full feral would also work as a werebeast, I think, so looks like this term can in fact have two meanings.
>Anything less is just an animal.
No it's not. Animals are 3D. Are loli equal to child porn to you? Loli are drawn and children are 3D. Looks like you can't differentiate between fiction and reality.
