In the early days of 4Chan, /b/ had a draw thread.
One of its worst posters was Speedy, he always took a metaphorical shit on every delivery, irrelevant of who it was to, looking for every excuse to drum up shit, request dozens of things nobody wanted to even consider drawing every thread, delivered on himself just to shit on himself to try to start arguments. For several years, he went on mostly ignored, since he just kept arguing with himself and having mediocre bait attempts.
Fast forward to creation of /trash/.
The drawthread is considered a great place to request a variety of niche and odd shit too Furry or weird for /d/ and /aco/, so it thrives and is a great place, few arguments.
Speedy shows up and starts pulling his /b/ grade shit. Requesting garbage not even fit for /trash/, requesting the same shit repeatedly, always making the thread before anyone else can, having instated a rule about "only page 10 for new threads" and always sniping the first post, sperging out if someone beat him to it, almost never, always starting arguments and looking for even the simplest reason to start one and it just devolved until in the /trash/ draw thread, shitposting became known as speedyposting.
Now we're here.
