To add, and this has been said for years, Rare seems to have this bitterness about certain things toward not only other companies, but themselves. I took game design for four years and I learned quite fast not to care about developing a character when you have a 4 month deadline to craft something with Unity. Is Krystal a bad character? Yes and no. She's a lot more tolerable than other female sidekicks in the gaming world of bullshit, but she's more or less the token female now because they threw her story, which is now complete to an extent, to the side because it didn't exactly mix with 'SHOOT THE FUCK OUT OF EVERYTHING NOT MARKED WITH A K, F, S, OR P'.
