I never knew this. The game is pretty hard so I never really got that far. I think maybe two-three new generations if I'm lucky. Love the funny music in the game though.
I remember this slighty above average game I rented once called A Dog's Life or something on PS2 where you played as a dog in first person. You could shit and then turn around and eat it, quite shocking really.

Yeah but these animals are more cartoony animals. Ecco was much more closer to a realistic type animal. There are almost no games out there where you play as a more realistic depiction of animals. It's very rare.
