writing and drawing talent are 2 separate things, and piecing them together into a coherent and engaging presentation is an even more complicated process that is a talent in and of its own.
Between the good art and comics I prefer good art, fan comics always tend to get way too OOC and boring the longer they go on and at that point I'd rather go watch something actually good, whereas good art that doesn't stray from the characters is always fun and always in character.

Nick falling out of Dom Space occasionally is a nice touch too; its not his kink and in his own way he'd be a little hesitant since this is a big step, and in both his dialogue and his face you see that he is actually feeling emotions and gives a shit, which is important since you can't forget the heart of gold in his jerk with a heart of gold formula. If anything I might throw a "Judy" in there since shit has gotten way past real.

Just my 2 cents here, was always impressed by your ability to play with tension, suspense, general sequence building. Here specifically, but in other works too. Re-reading from the first panels 'till what we have now happens with a flow. Tension, stakes just keeps adding up, story never seems floaty. As a whole piece and in particular panels, everything tide together neatly.
Also on the boat with OOC talk, swears, etc. Those are some dangerous chemicals, better use sparingly.
