Business is absolutely not conducted in English, unless you are an expat working in an expat company, and even then all dealings with locals will be done in Chinese via a translator or an employee who is Chinese and knows English or is Western and knows Chinese fluently (both in high demand)
Aside from English, there is literally no better language to be learning for the future and in terms of employability than Chinese.
