Argonians face a fair few problems in the society of Tamriel. Slavery was one that eventually got abolished, and plenty are simply just racist towards them in general, I mean yeah they worship fucking sentient trees above all else so who knows? Keep in mind the average person might not be able to afford a health potion. But you have a good point so maybe the lifespan is closer to 70-80 years. I'd think beastraces would be a bit shorter still because
1) they tend to be poorer in human-dominated provinces because of racism and poor people aren't as healthy
2)maybe it's just my bias but I'd think the beastraces have more dangerous lives in Elsweyr and in Argonia. This is why prey animals have shorter lifespans in the real world: there's no point being able to live to 80 if there's a 90% chance of your being eaten by the time you're 30.

The impression I got was that at least in Argonia they actually have a sort of connection with the land and as treacherous as it is, they are exempt. Which is also a nice excuse for Bethesda to never to a game in the black marsh, non-Argonians are struggling to not get killed every 10 seconds.

It's pretty much the same in the book except Bard isn't built up as a main character in the book. He's literally just some random guy in Lake-Town who shoots down Smaug.
It's a bit more complicated, though. A bird (a Thrush) overhears Bilbo telling the dwarves about Smaug's weak spot over his heart, then flies to Lake-Town and tells Bard, who knows where to shoot (with a regular bow, not a Dragon-Killer 2000 like in the movie)
His death is a bit underwhelming to be honest.

Now I need to get playing Skyrim and get Has-High-Hopes into more trouble.
Escaping out of the cell, she stabbed a few ghosts and found a chest trapped with some DD gear. One of the pieces is supposed to be a blindfold but the devs clearly don't give a shit about lizardtits so it doesn't really show anything, so I've written off that the trap didn't really take beasts into consideration. A restrictive corset, a chastity belt and some soul gem plugs however were forcibly equipped. I think a bandit that she proposed sex to for getting pass a checkpoint equipped something else on her.
Should've played with the ratios a bit more; in a dungeon a container has a 50 in 1000 chance of being enchanted (so 1 in 20) by default, and I've set keys to have a 10 in 1000 chance on appearing on bodies and containers. You're not allowed to play with them if anything nasty is attached. I'm not sure if I should enable a particular mod that allows cutting off some but not all kinds of restraints via dagger, it seems getting them off is a bit limited other than hoping to find a key off a bandit. For now we'll have to grin and bear it, which is kinda the point.
Has-High-Hopes has buggered off to Whiterun in the meantime and crafted some leather gear to put over them. Will post her current gettup after this next session.

Yeah, I ran into that problem, I had the raptor feets, and extra armours, but the armour overrode the feet, so when I put on the auxillary boos, suddnely, I had human feet.
Personally I want there to be a companion mod that allows you to take regular boot/shoe and reforge them to fit feral paws/talons. It'd stretch the model, and remove the toes, but I can't into code, so no mods for me

Some mods already do this. In SPERG (/tesg/'s go-to for good reason), there are perks that boost your armor rating in general if you do not have anything of the opposite armor type equipped, as opposed to four armor pieces.
I think the best solution technically speaking would be an option to hide the boots, there's a Toggle Helmet mod which does the same thing with a hotkey.
One thing I hated about Morrowind was the feet/helmet penalty because there was fun stuff like the Boots of Blinding Speed.

/tesg/ does have a website where they host a whole bunch of recommended mods for everything but Sexlab stuff. Guardly still sometimes updates it every now and then, he also removes mods if they cause problems or become redundant. They too have a gallery of various ENB configs out there too, novajam did a ENB comparison nine months ago.

ENB I initially used for the Detailed Shadows feature since vanilla's at best are pixelated and that's one of it's lightest features. You can add in some of the more lightweight features and ultimately rely on a lighting mod like ELFX. I personally use the UNBLEAK playing config + Pure Weathers + ELFX without its weather.

I also do suppose it's a no-brainer that LoversLab is mostly biased towards BDSM with some bestiality if you just take a look, and that a ton of the stuff is ultimately subjective. As the guys there would rather not post potential save-damaging/bloating mods, it does kind of make sense since Sexlab and Devious Devices can put on some strain on Papyrus and they're just frameworks for possibly bigger things. I'm not even sure if Has-High-Hopes will ever reach Level 50 as a result.
Think 'host' was the wrong word I used there, since they technically link to other mods. But if one is taken down by its own author or Nexus staff for dumb reasons, then someone will get to uploading a mirror in due time.

Has-High-Hopes has made not only some progression, but regression as well. She was caught by bandits and offered as a slave to the Captured Dreams owner for 10k gold. The next step of her master plan is to pay off a debt of 14k gold to remove (most) of these restraints, and hopefully be able to buy her own keys for later. Fortunately, she knows how to transmute ore into precious metals, so maybe she could get out of this predicament a bit faster than just doing some odd jobs. Time to hit the mines.
This is actually fairly frustrating to play, because combat has not only been modded to be high risk/reward but bandits take a whole fucking group with them once you aggro one of them and the game engine choking with many long pauses in the middle of combat makes it all the more frustrating. In fact, just being in exteriors causes long pauses occasionally that get more frequent the longer the session. On top of that I sometimes have to deal with Sonic '06 load times. This makes me wonder how the fuck Russians made a merged mod pack of 400+ mods that supposedly runs very well for what it is, so I guess I better revise over what I have after all of this. At least I haven't been getting CTDs out the ass.

If you're referring to the Argonian's fate, Captured Dreams is a Devious Devices-based mod about an eponymous shop near Falkreath. The Altmer owner, simply just called 'Master' can sell players restraints from the mod as well as some special ones with a different locking mechanism. She may fit chastity stuff on players either temporarily during her jobs, or just straight putting them on for fucking up one on top of other punishments she might impose.
It's not really a true slavery mod per-se, it just has a bridge for stuff like Simple Slavery with the player being outfitted in Master's special restraints and they have to pay off her imposed debt of 10k. Has-High-Hopes had to go 4k more to get rid of the initial gag for being defiant in a dialogue tree, which the mod also tracks for dom/sub player personality. 14k is a lot by the shitty vanilla game's standards, sure. With mods it can go all over the place. Even after mods Skyrim players will typically try to find something left unchecked and cheese it.
If you meant the game choking? Sitting at ~250 plugins is one, while I assume Sexlab + DD are the biggest offenders there's likely many other scripts working in the background. I should take a visit to LL or something and see how players over there manage their load orders or minimize such problems. It might be possible that some INI files are misconfigured, especially enblocal which manages some extra performance/stability stuff.
