A great trash
>>
>>3253209
>People on /trash/ think there is some kind of standard here or some level of potential quality

We are literally the dump-board for the shit not good enough to go anywhere else or that gets kicked off of other boards like /co/ and /x/ and whichever because everyone else gets sick of us or the threads nuke themselves on their original boards. We're the ultimate 'containment board'.

There is no potential in /trash/, it is what it is and will always be as it was. If you come here expecting or wanting anything else, you probably should go back to the listed boards where any kind of complaints like this are going to hold any meaning.

/trash/ was slower and more comfy. Then HG and /mlp/ cancer came along and had to speed things up and drown out threads. Before a thread could be up for half a day without dying. Now you have to constantly check up to make sure your thread didn't die from 8 HG or pony fetish threads appearing in bulk.

I don't care that much about HG threads, I just say that they aren't as big as one may think, just hyperactive.

>Trash without HG
I don't like it but it's been here since day one. the fuckers not spamming so many threads and going on autistic rampages would be nice though, otherwise I don't mind them.
>Trash without pony shit
I wouldn't want to ban ponyshit but realistically 99% of it could go back to /mlp/ if the autist janitor would just fuck off, and this board would be better as a result
>Trash without /co/ generals
for the love of god this, all of them could easily exist on /co/ and stop taking up space on this board. the only one being here I could maybe understand is zootopia.

all that being said,
>having standards on /trash/
though I do wish this place was like it was around december through february, it was the perfect speed and comfiness

Just filter the shit you don't like. It's that easy.
>>
>>3269363
>not a word about furry cancer

>>
>>3272141
The not /co/ generals are easily filtered. But I'd say only about 10% if the HG threads actually have HG or Hunger Games written, if you try to filter them on any other criteria you're going to get unrelated casualties.
>>
>>3272149
hey, I may be yiffing in hell but you'll be permanently stuck on something awful circa 2004
that being said I think there may have also been an influx of uncomfy shitposters from 8ch's /furry/ as well as all that other stuff, but I don't really have any way to prove that other than the amount of shitposting rising and looking especially similar to the type of idiocy you'd see over there
>>3272141
it's not an issue of a filter so much as it is general culture and board speed
>>
>>3272639
>think there may have also been an influx of uncomfy shitposters from 8ch's /furry/ as well as all that other stuff, but I don't really have any way to prove that other than the amount of shitposting rising and looking especially similar to the type of idiocy you'd see over there

I thought the same. Lately there have been a lot of drama in furry threads. Those fuckers can't accept that their shitty board is dying and they bring their cancer over here.
>>
>>3272663
it's really disappointing honestly. I can't say I've ever been part of the furry 'community' since I value my anonymity and am a massively awkward autist, but some of the generals here were fucking great for me. they let you have that kind of communal experience and discussion without compromising on either of those two points, and it was amazing that they managed to stay so high quality on an anonymous forum.
now pretty much all the threads I go in eventually have somebody getting mad, and my favorite general has been seemingly irreparably maimed by it.
>>
>>3272729
>my favorite general has been seemingly irreparably maimed by it.

The straight fat furry thread?

Yeah I saw, it was pretty bad, fighting all night over pointless issue.
I guess I'm lucky, all the threads I usually post have been pretty comfy up until now, but maybe it's just calm before the storm...
>>
>>3272747
actually the ungendered fat thread, but when I looked in that one the other day it was way more insane than I've seen any of the ones I actively participate in, so that works too
and yeah, I'd say that compared to what I've seen in the fat threads and heard about from the drawthreads most threads here still seem to be relatively comfy despite increased shitposting. I wouldn't be surprised to see it all go further downhill though.

>>
>>3272782
Well I hope it will get better for your generals, maybe it's just summerfags.

And to be fair, it's just that the more popular fetishes get the most idiots too. I browse pretty slow threads, with maybe 50/60posters at best( when we hit bump limit) so maybe there's that.

But yeah, I hope /trash/ will slowdown at one point. Now, we just have to fight with our own arms and must not feed the trolls and shitposters from 4*2chan or /b/
>>
>>3259914
Because people are still somehow triggered by pony shit 6 years later. For literally no reason. These same people likely post shit all the time that others don't like, but it's not a problem when they do it of course.
>>
>>3272835
the big issue now though is that a lot of the slow threads are dying due to said increase in speed, and it's taking a bunch of the variety with it. and honestly, I just don't see it slowing down again unless generals start moving back to their boards of origin, and even that would only be temporary.
>>3272857
>These same people likely post shit all the time that others don't like, but it's not a problem when they do it of course.
god damn I hate this mentality. I wish /trash/ had actually gone down the route of being a cesspool of gross shit that everybody could manage to find something in rather than it being flooded by shitposters who unironically give people shit for having certain fetishes. hell, yesterday I saw a guy talking about his rape fetish and theb complaining about how diaperfags were "mentally I'll." it's fucking ridiculous.
>>
>>3272896
>I wish /trash/ had actually gone down the route of being a cesspool of gross shit that everybody could manage to find something

It was like that at first.
>>
>>3272919
I know, I guess I meant it more in that it would be codified into the board culture. I mostly use /mu/ so the closest thing I can think of as an example would be a non-shitposty version of the pleb/patrician dichotomy, where people were actively encouraged to explore odd stuff rather than it just being accepted. it would prevent the idea of fetishes being able to be "objectively bad" from gaining a foothold like it now has.
