She is fine. I'm talking more about her slight changes in personality and habits. The show tries to make a subtle focus of changing bad habits, and bettering yourself, bit by bit. Like Steven eating healthier and reading books and exercising.
Pearl was kind of Pollyana and nutty in a lot of Season 1, and gradually got a bit more serious and worrisome when you realize she's some fucked up programmed slave type of gem, and ambiguously closer to Rose than it first seemed, and her fucked up thing with Garnet and Sardonyx.
Right now Pearl is a little more serious than most of her season 1 moments. But there's good signs, like her fusing with Amethyst and getting along with her more than before. And Garnet being happy trying to teach cross-gem fusion to Peridot. Etc etc there's my thesis.
