They're definitely great. I especially like the added wrist joints to make wielding the bazooka better. Thats alwayx been a nitpick I've had for a few RDs so its nice to see a correction.

And hey, I said months ago the same thing about getting 3.

Can't take pics right now, but Ideon is easily one of the best SOCs. I could write a book about how awesome it is. Seriously.

I also can't photograph my Ideon because it's many miles away in storage at my parents' house. But it's great. It's the only SoC I own, and it's a pretty impressive specimen. Huge, very weighty, it comes apart and transforms, and the sculpt is just gorgeous. I would HIGHLY recommend it.

The only thing I wish it had is LEDs. I always gaze wistfully at this pic of someone shining an LED flashlight into the head, and imagine what could have been.

RDs when?
>>
>>5633539
Probably never. Bandai seems to want to keep the Macross figures limited to the Hi-Metal R and DX Chogokin lines.
>>
>>5632356

Ideon is amazing. MUCH RECOMMENDED!

Cons:
- relatively loose hip joints make some poses a bit dangerous.
- cracks appear in the joints of the bar connecting the arms together. Those crack are meaningless though. It won't fall apart because of them. At least not unless you do some epic hamhanding or drop the thing from 6 feet up onto a concrete surface.

That's it. Those are the cons. The rest is pure sex.

Pros:
- big and heavy
- many modes and crazy-awesome origami-like transformations
- It's Ideon, motherfucker!
- So kickass to pose with the Ideo-gun.
- The ideo-gun, can light up bright enough to blind you. I guess that could be a con. YMMV.
- Probably the height of quality when it comes to SOC's. Bandai put an unusual amount of love and attention into the design of Ideon. SOC's are already high-end pieces, but Ideon's paint and attention to detail and accessories are just so fucking good. You can tell the designers were fans of the show and took their time.
- it can do the "sitting-up-and-batting-a-Buff-Clan-ship-sideways" pose!
-It's possible to do ALL the transformations without any partsforming. Which, if you know the anime, is just mindblowing.

They do not include stands. Arcadia sold some stands separately themselves, though they're long since sold out. Here's what they look like if you're curious:

http://hlj.com/product/ACA82114/Sup

An effective alternative are the FlightPose stands:

http://flightpose.com/

They're all sold out currently, but they'll be getting more stock in May.
>>
>>5634741
There was almost no way it wouldn't bomb. Who did they think would pay 4 times as much as the HG? Especially when G-Reco laid precedent for a release that was competing directly with a recent model selling poorly. I think Impulse will probably end up bombing too when people opt for the much cheaper (and pretty great looking) model kit.

That said I am surprised that it bombed this hard, I thought it would take almost a month to reach half off. Then again, Justice and Strike Noir hit clearance about this fast too. And the Vifam and L-Gaim with new backpacks. I suspect the line will be entirely UC Gundam as soon as L-Gaim and Dunbine are finished up( though that could certainly take a while with all the exclusive color variants).

God knows what will happen if the secondary A.N.I.M.E releases don't sell well. Are enough people going to actually want Guncannons and Guntanks to keep the line afloat? Will we see A.N.I.M.E Zeta stuff?

Also, how low do people think Kimaris will go if Barbatos is almost 50% off after a week? We could be set to see sales unheard of since Vox Aura.

Let's be honest senpai the G-Self bombed because the design and the show sucked ass. If the HG was that popular they would have had more kits by now.

>>
>>5635010
>the design and the show sucked ass

Nah, you just have shit taste
>>
>>5635010
Gonna respectfully disagree with you there. I loved the design and the show, though I'll admit it has some pacing issues.
>>
>>5635010
The G-Self had several kits though
Base G-Self
Assault Pack
Perfect Pack

Plus P-Bandai G-Self w/ space pack combo set and P-Bandai Reflector pack.

G-Reco was set up for failure. Slow product launches, some early MS were skipped for merchandise, and the model kits were poor quality for something in 2015. Yet all signs pointed to it doing very well in terms of merchandising and Bandai trying to get more kits out before the show ended. Of course they screwed up because they only ramped up the merch way too late.
>>
>>5635071
The engineering on the model kits were also pretty lackluster for modern HGs (and no, the design itself isn't an excuse). It's like they assigned their B team to rush them out the door.

Mandarake for 3500 yen. It has the paint fading that's endemic to the figures though. I'm not sure you can get a Tauburn without it, even though Mandarake listed this one without mentioning the fading (I expected better from them). Fortunately the only spot where it's bad is on one of the back skirt armor pieces. I might end up repainting some of the parts myself.

Jungle has one for about 3500 yen right now too. It would be a crap shoot as to what parts of the painted faded though.

Personally I feel like he's worth it even with the paint issues. He has great presence and articulation. The huge ass size is great too.

Yeah, I got mine today thankfully. The only issue I could possibly have with it is the low accessory account (which I knew going in) and the fact the ankle armor isn't articulated so it gets in the way of any sort of forward bending foot articulation.

It's actually pretty easy to balance it, I've already had it sitting in this pose for hours now with no issues.
>>
>>5639040
Yeah, I've had good experience with my own Barbatos. I hadn't paid much attention at first since I got my Dom trio at the same time, but Barbatos is a great RD.
I haven't had any balance issue with it and it's mace, which was a nice surprise.

I really do hope sales for it pick up since I want more IBO RDs.
>>
>>5639065
I'm hoping for an accessories set like they did with the 1/144th scale models. They bothered including hardpoint holes on the elbows for the shield and other nick-knacks it ends up attaching to its arms, so they seem to at least have left the door open for that.

That and desperately need 6th Form Barbatos for the god damned gigantic Crabhammer of death. And Gusion/Gusion ReBake.
>>
>>5639085
I want those things as well, plus the Graze and variants.
And Mobile Workers.
>>
>>5638874

What set is that effect piece from?
>>
>>5639118
The Graze seems so god damned obvious a choice due to how many times they could reprint it in different colors with minor variations in accessories and components.
>>
>>5639811
As long as the standard Graze was a regular release, so that I can grab a few for army building purposes, I wouldn't mind the others ending up as exclusives.

man, Tomino's good, but he's gotten worse in years, same with the people who follow him, unicorn was pretty bad.

Ideon seems really damned interesting though. I read up on the bot, and despite looking like an edgy GM it's so damned op that everyone is afraid of it.

Apparently the longer it fights on the stronger it gets and it's power source is literally limitless.

Once the machine hits full shit it can wipe out existence.
>>

>>
Does anyone own any of the GFF Metal Composite Unicorn's? Are they any good? I'm debating pulling the trigger on the Phenex and thinking it will go well with my Metal Build collection.
>>
>>5639841

Ideon is a great series. It gets a lot of shit. Mostly cause it's older animation and people can't take the time to let a story build. But goddamn, I'm telling you it's worth it.

Plus, if your are a fan of either Macross or Evangelion, you really should watch the show that heavily inspired them.

So, just 3 weeks away from the Tamashii show. What are everybody's expectations and hopes?

First, expected stuff, with my hopes for them

-Finish up the ANIME 0079 stuff. Guntank and G-Fighter, plus Gelgoog(regular and Char's), Gyan and Zeong. Plus show off GM and Big Zam again.

-CE Gundam stuff. First Seed or Destiny, plenty of stuff I want from both.

-Hyper Mode Leprechaun guaranteesa Dunbine display. Hopefully we get at least one new Aura Battler RD. Grunt Botune too.

And for hopes
-As usual for me, my biggest hope is Code Geass. Both the Akito the Exiled and Oz the Reflection spinoffs just ended, and it's the 10th anniversary this year. Anything from any of them would be welcome from me.

-More IBO stuff

-Any new series

>>
>>5642488
The plot is goofy and the dub is a product of its time, sure. But it has some very good mechanical design work (pretty much anything Oz, and honestly most of the Gundams too) and a decent number of fun fan-favorite characters. It's not the most amazing thing ever, but it's not pig shit either.

>>

Not even him, but why the hell was the Hi-Metal Roy VF-1 an exclusive? Isn't that machine super popular?
>>
>>5642971
1 of the reasons was due to their own regular release of Hi-metal R super/ strike Hikaru. With both similar Valks releasing next to each other Bandai decided it was a better idea to do made to order for the ROY instead. The preorder of this Web exclusive was open for a short time that include a free stand, and reopen for a very long time without the stand. Of course there's always people that didn't do the preorder because they were to late to the part, or decide to get it later.

If Super/ strike Roy was a regular release, then Bandai would have made the Super/strike Hikaru a web exclusive. Which I would prefer more. Bandai likes to keep the supply and demand in check.

Haha, nah, Roy's awesome. I think >>5643598 has the main reason why they opted for the exclusive release this time around (though I'm sure Roy would have done just fine as a regular release considering the improvements to the Hi-Metal R version over the original release).

>>5643021
It really depends on the release and also the time frame; some exclusives may experience extreme mark ups immediately after release, then come back down as the interest wanes, and vice versa (Evangelion RDs being the best example of that; like a 200% price jump after the 3.0 movie for Eva-00 and it hasn't come down since). And of course you also get those exclusives that immediately jump in price and stay there indefinitely.

I'd say for the most part, exclusives usually end up around 1k-2k yen over or under their original MSRP.

Let's play a game:

Because of reasons, you have to downsize your RD collection to 5 RDs. Which ones are the ones you'll decide to keep? Feel free to explain your selection but you don't have to.
If you have less than 10 RDs you only get to keep 2 RDs!
>>
>>5645463
I'll start:

1. Laevatein
2. Wing Gundam EW
3. Eva-01
4. Sinanju
5. Gundam MK V

They're listed at random, so being higher on the list does not necessarily mean I value it more. But after careful consideration these 5 are the ones that I would keep.

It was not an easy decision, I had to let go of my Tallgeese II, Purple Space Leo, Advanced GN-X, and Cherudim Saga to name a few.
>>
>>5645463

Heavyarms
Leo
Space Leo
Aries
And Master Gundam if I get to keep the options parts
If not, then Den'an Gei
>>
>>5645463
>tfw only have 2 Robot Damashiis
Sinanju
Testament Gundam

Although I'd happily get rid of Testament Gundam for the Gundam Kimaris.
>>
>>5645468
>letting go of your tallgeese II
you faggot

1. Tallgeese II
2. Tallgeese I
3. Mercurius
4. Char's zaku II
5. Cordal VENOM

in no particular order. Love these guys.

>>5641363
All I want is the blue destiny unit one, and more universal century stuff. Mainly blue and a kampfer. Gerbera as a pipe dream.

>>
>>5645646
Treize is my favorite character from Wing and his suit one of my favorites, so this was not easy.

I guess I could replace the Sinanju or the Eva-01 with the Tallgeese II. Eva-01 has other iterations (model kit, revo) that are not that hard to get. Sinanju is a harder case because the RD is such a fun hand-candy that I feel that the model kits cannot compare to it.

>Mercurius but no Vayeate to go along
Dude, they are a team! In any case, I would have picked the Vayeate over the Mercurius.
>>
>>5645463
Honestly, I tried, I really did, but I just could not narrow it down to just 5.

Thankfully, I don't have to worry about this. I love my collection, so it would be hard for me to part with most of them.
>>
>>5645883
It honestly took me a couple of months to narrow it down. So I am not surprised you could not do it in one go.
>>
>>5645463
Dom
Rick Dias
Aries
Kapool
Hardpoint Zaku (Not perfect but I appreciate how durable it feels compared to basically every other RD I own).

The Dom is my favorite I think. It just looks goofy as shit and its nice after so many years of sharply detailed model kits to see it look like the gummy fat guy it is in the cartoon.
>>
>>5645817
>Sinanju is a harder case because the RD is such a fun hand-candy that I feel that the model kits cannot compare to it.
The tallgeese ISNT hand candy? SHIIIIIIIIIIET

>Dude, they are a team! In any case, I would have picked the Vayeate over the Mercurius.
I respect your choice in suits, but i disagree. Wanted a fucking Mercurius toy since i was 8.

I may have to rethink my choices though, I got that sweet ass desert gernsback, wish the metal version would go up for order though.
>>
>>5645468
How about I get rid of 5

Gouf Custom - Fiddy as heck, it'll probably explode into 20 pieces as I remove it from the shelf

Strike Freedom - Aged like milk, also I'm banking on a updated version

Sazabi - Big but also very light, feels like an empty shell of a cooked lobster

Nu-Gundam - The fin funnel rack would not stay together, also the Hi-nu is a much more robust choice

X-2 Kai - Also very fiddy, nothing too wrong but nothing too remarkable either.
>>
Despite the ANIME line looking like playdol, I think they are the definitive versions of those First Gundam characters as going back to Okawara's original style really pays tribute to him.

They could seriously pull off the anime poses and do the moves from Extreme VS, especially with the thruster parts.
>>
The anime moves were memorable as weren't able to be replicated in the same way through the 3D PS2 game models and model kits.

The anime RDs are 3D figures that able to do 2D moves.

don't forget the G-3.

the original vision of gundam, before it got made colorful over concerns of marketability to children.

it really looks like a good year for the original series if this keeps up
>>
>>5646571
G-3 is actually Amuro's "midseason upgrade" from the novel version of Gundam by Tomino. His original Gundam was damaged in battle and he got the upgraded RX-78-3, which had had the magnetic upgrade applied to it.
Its coloration though is what Tomino prefered over the colorful version we had gotten.

The Char custom Dom is also from that, since the novel doesn't have the Gelgoog or Zeong.
>>
>>5646593
The Amuro got killed by some random dude, Char doubled crossed everybody and conquered the universe. Ending the Gundam Franchise there.
>>
>>5646603
I never said it was canon. Just the source of the G-3. Tomino did that at the end of all of his Gundam novels, like Zeta's with Kamille.

Also, Amuro hooked up with Sayla in the novel.
>>
>>5641363
I always want a SIDE OG or (SIDE PT). This year is the 25th anniversary for SRW, but my hopes are not too high.
Probably they'll release some SRC for Compatible Kaiser if they announce a new tv series, but that's only my speculation...
>>
>>5646642
I actually liked that ending
>>
>>5646689
They never released the R series, or Dygengar, and Aussenritter, and the line's pretty much dead since the whole point of its existence pretty much vanished.
>>
When are we going to get--what I thought was the inevitable--release of Amuro's Zeta (Z3)???

I really feel Bandai-kun fucked up by not releasing it when the Zeta was first announced. And yes, it will be a P-Bandai Excuse Me!

(I just want the Gundam Evolve Zeta trio in RD form)
>>
Can anyone tell me what the quality of Master Gundam and V Dash Gundam are like? They've popped up new for $46 AUD each and I'm considering grabbing them.
>>
>>5647432
I have the V Dash Gundam. It is one of my favorite designs so I was looking forward to this one (having missed the earlier releases) and I pre-ordered it (determined not to miss out this time).

Out of the box it felt very cheap: super light and hollow, it didn't have any heft to it. The beam rifle is too thin so it kinda fumbles around in his hand.

Paint apps are good, articulation is standard RD fare.

But for some reason, it just was not fun to handle. It quickly went into storage. I can't really put my finger on it but something about it was not conducive to a fun experience for me. It sucked because I do like the design.

It goes for less than $25 USD on Amazon. I am not sure if it's just because it's not a popular design---many seem to prefer V2 over it---or something else.

If you don't "play" with your RDs then I guess you'll be fine just having it in some pose.
>>
>>5647226
I don't know why they waited so fucking long to release those, they had a perfect chance for sales when OG games were actually coming out and there was a tv series. Maybe we'll at least get one more when the PS4 game comes out.

The RD Kshatriya is amazing and incredibly solid. If the don't release it with the improved stand connector of the Repaired/Besserung version you might need to add some nail polish, glue, or paper or whatever to thicken up the stand's connector peg, but that's the only flaw that the figure could be said to have.

Sadly this almost pretty much happened, though thankfully I didn't have to cut right down to 5 that time.

Decision is only really based on the ones that great for some pick up and play. Though 1 and 2 a bit more special since I'm taking them with when traveling now(Unit-03 more than the Leo now).

1 - Space Leo(though holy shit would it be hard to give up the rest of my OZ RDs, if well I don't crack and force a way to keep at least the Leos...)
2 - Eva Unit-03
3 - Codarl i [Venom]
4 - Byarlant Custom (this may change to Kshatriya when I get another one...)

Haven't gotten them yet, so might not count; but for fun:

5 - Barzam Refined (here's hoping they're just as fun toys as the Leos and GM Sniper IIs have been for me!)

Gonna be real devastated if ECOAS Jegan does not happen, even with 'RE: 0096' airing now... Still need to give this series a try though.

>Which ECOAS Jegan, though?
If Bandai was gonna be nice about it, could make it a kinda 2in1 release; and throw in the parts for a 'Conroy Custom' for switching between the types. Rather than making two releases.

Know my priority will be on the base ECOAS Jegan if it happens. Please let it happen...

>It was the OVA 7 version, IIRC, that was shown.
Yea, though what has this me hoping is they had the card saying 'ECOAS Type/Conroy Custom'. So can only hope for a long of them just adding parts for converting the figure.

Naw just a simple bit of embarrassing circumstances.
Was moving in a time crunch, and the next place at a parent's was a kinda tiny room as far as I knew; though was fine since it was just gonna be a drop off place for my stuff while on some work trips.
Priorities was being given to things like a 1/6 Batmobile and the 3A MG Rex is all. Though admittedly it turned out I didn't really need to give up as much as I did, so will get back a bit of my RDs eventually.

Still while giving up RDs, for some reason kept a dinged Tallgeese. Eventually had some fun modding it into the right-side figure and eventually into Tallgeese Zi-Long someday.

>Codarl I---is it as good as it looks?
Similar to >>5656216 I'd say the base figure is pretty damn fun. The accessories while impressive, can be limiting if used on the hardpoints though.
>>
>>5656216
>>5656295

First guy, adding onto second's comments: Fully loaded you have no extra options for accessory placement because the minigun eats an arm hardpoint and one other for ammo drum's holder, the fold-up guns use the back hardpoints flanking the radiator fin, and the knife goes on the remaining one, the left arm in my case. Those 5 (2 on back, 1 on each forearm near the elbow, one on the butt) hardpoints are the only ones the figure has. Limiting compared to the Scepters and Savages. I ended up giving the combat knife to my sand colored Scepter to go on the back hardpoint opposite the missile launcher. You can load up the back-mounted guns and the minigun just fine and it'll balance even with both feet narrowly held together.
>>
I think I may have pulled the foot hinge too far forward on the dom I just bought, it looks like the was a tiny tab or greeble on the point where it attaches under the leg that snapped off when I pulled it forward, now it won't snap back like the other foot.

Hi, im new to anything gundam related.. and i want to buy a model kit of a mech, either gundam or other. i was looking at some Kotobukiya Frame Arms and wanted to know if anyone had some, if they are good, or shit. also if you would have a good starter model kit that wont cost me 70$ :s
>>
>>5660927
The original RD ZZ has one fucked up backpack. You want the Enhanced version.

RD FA ZZ is really great though.
>>
>>5660974
You can't go wrong with one of those cheap as chips HG Barbatos or Graze kits.
>>
>>5660983
i took a look on amazon, the Graze looks neat. do you have a pic of the built product?

Unpainted and with very minimal effort, of course.

Just for future reference, I recommend using dalong.net and Toriko (the blog/gallery I linked to) if you're interested in other kits.

Best resource for what kits actually look like, complete with reviews and instructions and whatnot. Only problem, is that it's in Korean. Use google translate.

Aw man, sorry to hear about the downsize, but glad to know you'll be back in the game eventually, haha. Were you able to keep your Leo army intact?

And I must say, I'm a bit surprised to see you count the Byarlant Custom as a great pick up and play RD. It always felt kinda unwieldy to me just by virtue of its lanky, unbalanced design. A rad design though, to be sure (but Kshatriya is better! haha).

>>5655410
Very cool series of pics, anon. That Little Armory stuff goes great with the Arbalest!

>>5655423
They did bring the Twin Mover over, the MSRP is kinda absurd though at $68.99. You can find it for less than that fairly easily domestically, but still, it's pretty pricey for a relatively small RD.

Is it causing the foot to be looser or anything? If there's no real functional difference, then I wonder if maybe the greeble you're seeing is simply a nub mark from the manufacturing process that has been trimmed cleaner on one side.

Definitely gonna watch for this when mine eventually arrives though, so thanks for the heads up!

I've seen it for as low as 3500JPY, and that has tempted me despite owning the new Xi! I say if you dig the design and don't really care about the improved paint/face sculpt of the new Xi (or don't feel it's worth the massive price difference, which I can totally understand), then go for it. It's a big, solid RD.

My primary non-Gundam want would probably be for those Patlabor RDs we got a peek at last year (or was it earlier this year?) to get a release date, and to see that line expand to Labors like the Helldiver. Would also dig RDs from Votoms, Gasaraki, Break Blade, Nadesico and more FMP stuff!

I think anon has made it pretty clear he's not interested. ;)

Well, up until the new Xi came out, the old Xi has been going for 10,000 on Mandy. So it's not like it suddenly started sucking, more like there is a superior version coming out and the old version went out of favor.

But is the new Xi 4 times better than the old Xi?

And by comparison, a quick browse on Mandy found these following RDs that cost more than the old Xi.

Strike Freedom 5500
Altron 5500
G Defenser 6000
Gun Cannon Recon 6000

The shipping might be the deal breaker though
>>
I kept the old Xi for the colour scheme.

The old Xi was priced pretty low even before the Penelope and the new Xi were announced, I remember I almost pulled the trigger on a 6000JPY one back before either of those announcements. I think the price ticked back up a bit with the Penelope announcement, but yeah, the new Xi release has completely crashed the price of the old Xi since it really is a straight up improvement.

If the new Xi were red it'd be easy to say it's 3 times better, but 4 times? Maybe not that much, but again the improvements (fully painted, tampo details, new head sculpt, missile butt attachment (which is actually pretty rad)) are notable. That being said, if the areas that were improved on aren't that big a deal to you, then just go for the old Xi.

Shipping shouldn't be too bad (especially if you snag a 35000JPY one!); my new Xi was shipped along with a Converge Kshatriya via RSAL for just 1600JPY.

>>5663281
Yea! Loved Gasaraki's mecha designs. I'd like some Aestivalis from Nadesico myself, hehe.

>>5663362
Just got my Char Zaku from HLJ today, only have had a brief time with it but I am digging it! Planning to take some comparison pics with the 1/144 Super HCM this weekend.

Kinda wish I had ordered a Dom through HLJ as well (added it to my May AmiAmi order) so I could have it now, haha.

>>5664126
Yeah, they're really more display pieces than they are action figures to mess around with.
>>
>>5665121
How is your Char's Zaku, Monitor-anon? I've had a few issues with mine. Some of the hands are super loose, hip joints are loose, the shoulder shield swivel is loose, and the knee joints don't want to bend smoothly (they have this odd soft "click" with the collapsing panel behind the knee that seems to limit the "in-between" range of motion). I can either bend the knee a litttle bit or go really deep, but not much in-between.
>>
>>5665170
Not Plastic-anon, but my zeke has none of those problems. The only one i has was the knees, but leaving them in the bent position for a bit took care of the locking described.
>>5665121
NEAT! Been looking to see the RD char's with a 1/144 for comparision's sake. There was one in the 2chan thread, but it got pruned before i saved it.

Looking forward to seeing your pics on the dom. Might persuade me to get Char's rick.

Yeah, though it'll be to a lesser degree somewhat. Since some stuff I'll be replacing with better versions like the Alter FMP Savage figures when I get the space for mine.

>Were you able to keep your Leo army intact?
Little OZ army was kept saved, though once again I put off having my blue Leos sent to me; so was it ever fully intact though?

>... Surprised to see you count the Byarlant Custom as a great pick up and play RD.
It's more a close tie between the two for me. The Kshatriya's joints were ridiculously sturdy on mine and great for posing, but things like the shoulder 'block' and the funnel pods could be a hassle to position smoothly for play.
Byarlant Custom is just easy to play around with for me, and being a bit less busy design; but still easy and plentiful with articulation. It wins for now at least.

Instant dethrone though, if I ever get make the 'complete'(well symmetrical) Kshatriya Repaired I wish Marida could've had...

>>5661696
Just hoping to something, Bandai comes through with the RD Patlabor line...

Still definitely would be ecstatic to see some RD Guymelefs, Scheherazade would be nice. Just oh boy would I be freaking at a Zaibach Alseides, or Oreades myself.

Would be pretty happy to see the stuff Plastic-anon mentioned as well in >>5662920, love my Riobot Delphine; but feel cheated they never gave us a an Artemis. As well as trying to ignore the other neat designs...

Would be nice if for the ANIME line they take a crack at making the TV series Evangelion Units, though this is assuming the ANIME line isn't another gimmick line for the Gundam franchise...

>>
>>5667142
You really think you'd get all that for 6000 yen? You'd be lucky if it comes with the shotgun, baton, and pistol for 6000. You'll probably have to buy Unit 2 to get the shotgun and a 3000 yen accessory set to get extended arms, the Griffon's Aqua pack, and a car or two.

Is there even anything from Patlabor that will sell besides the Ingrams and Griffon? I suspect Helldiver or Phantom or something will bomb and end the line prematurely.

Come on dude...
>>
>>5667066
not trying to rain on your parade but ever since the Eva-02 rebuild got revealed having those horns I have hated it. I can't put my finger on it; perhaps it is because I was so accustomed to the old version, or maybe it's because my favorite is the EoE version--which is further simplified, or maybe because aside from the red, the 02 is meant to be a production unit so adding extra flair to it seems out of place.

The horns are the only reason I passed on the RD [although I have contemplated just getting it and the filing the horns down].
>>
RD Char's Z Gok page up. Many effect parts. If they were to release the blue version as web exclusive it should it include the parts too.

http://tamashii.jp/special/gundam_anime/

GM to be released at another time.

I purposely bought an extra Char's Zaku for the effect parts with the intention of offloading the extra figure.
>>
>>5667586
To be accurate, an MS in space would need four vernier parts.

On Earth, jumping with either the legs or backpack would be sufficient.
>>
>>5667588
If i get 8 orange verniers in total, I would give them to Char's Zaku and Char's Rick Dom.

Along with Dom, this is what I wanted the most. HGUC one wasn't cutting it for me for some reason.

I like all the articulation increasing gimmicks it has.
GM looks good too.
>>
>>5667601
GM will probably come with vernier and beam and vulcan parts if they would like to maintain the price to 5500-6000 yen level. Unlikely bazooka would be included.

Dom avoided effect parts mainly due to its large size while trying to stay within 6000 yen.

So far the prices are:

Gundam 5000 yen
Red Zaku 5500 yen
Dom 6000 yen
MP Zaku 5500 yen
Gouf 6000 yen
Guncannon 5500 yen
Z'Gok 6000 yen

Gouf is clearly overpriced.

I expect GM to be 5000 yen
>>
>>5667606
I'd be fine with the GM coming with a bare set of accessories if the price meant I could get a couple for the price of a main suit.

For 5k and nothing majorly unique about the GM, it best come with countless accessories and effect parts.

The one effect piece clears any doubt of the GM. Hopefully it comes next. Not that I'm not excited for the Z'Gok, but I really want the GM for army building purposes.

Anyway, I'm guessing the A.N.I.M.E. line is selling really well since we're getting so many 0079 stuff.
>>
>>5668072
>Anyway, I'm guessing the A.N.I.M.E. line is selling really well since we're getting so many 0079 stuff.

I think brand management just doesn't know what else to do with the line now that they've already narrowed the scope of RDs to almost exclusively 80s Real Robots. Most of these were announced before any sales figures would be available for any of the non-main character suits.

I really want to know what they'll do now once they run out of MSG releases. It won't take very long at this rate, they'll probably have put out every sell-able character by next April.

That gloss-looking finish if on the actual products, will be wonderful. Though those 'cloth' knee-joints, are looking a bit weird to me for some reason; I have to admit.

>>5667509
>I suspect Helldiver, Phantom or something will bomb and end the line prematurely.

Yeah, the Phantom, Schaft Dev-Labors or the Proto-MP Ingrams could fatally slow the line down if they push those early on.

A Helldiver though, just might be for the RD line; the Figma Misaka Imouto again if they make that an exclusive. The JP Patlabor fanbase usually goes gaga for this labor, for probably obvious reasons; even made the WHAM! figure ridiculously rare and pricey even though it's a bit of a crummy figure.

That said if this scenario does come to pass worried how that could mess with Bandai's expectations for the line...
>>
I think Gogg would be 6000 to 6500 yen due to volume and will need to use the Z'Gok beam effect.

So what else left for the ANIME line?

GM - confirmed with sample
Guntank

Char's/MP Gelgoog
Gyan
Rick Dom exclusive?
MP Z'Gok exclusive?

Acguy
Gogg
Zock

Some MA's?

Okay, so only around 6 unrevealed moulds left. I will be expecting some MSV exclusives to drag out the line and I do expect them to take a break every two months or so. Gelgoog and Gyan should be very last.
