To reply to this from the previous thread because I'm a massive LLfag, only FOUR were actually normal releases. Not even the bigger half, and Honoka, the MC, was a web exclusive for both her releases. They did do a two-pack for Rin and Hanayo, and I think maybe they would have done better if Maki/Nico and Eli/Nozomi were treated as double packs as well, and if any were to be general releases it should at least be the three girls with the most screen time.
Bandai really flubbed this line, which is just fuckin' weird considering how close they are with Sunrise.

I thought it was fucking horrifying. Prototype A was a Detroit cop who was mortally wounded in the field, just as Robocop 1 was. Legally, property of the state, so it was perfectly alright to subject him to whatever was so terrible to make his final actions be the murder of two related scientists, and his immediate suicide.
Prototype B was scrapped together so quickly that the subject's blood still covered the bones.
Despite the comedic and satirical nature of the Robocop films, the horror of such an overbearing police state is still evident, and very well portrayed.

I don't think Bwie actually wore the make-up for the cover to Aladdin Sane in concert, which makes getting a full body figure of it questionable. Ziggy Stardust had a full outfit design, but I'm not sure if they'd go with it for a first Bowie figure. I think we'll see a compromise by doing a vaguely late 70's Bowie, since he generally came back to that look regularly as far as hair and style, and it's less of a "character".

The only issue with musicians with instruments would be who is iconic enough either visually or fame to get a figure.
For visual, many of the 80's hair metal bands like Motley Crue would lend perfectly to a group of unique looking figures with instruments.
That said, the appeal probably just isn't there and Japan is full of those type of bands currently that they could just focus on the Japanese bands.
Beatles probably work for a full band with instruments though. I can't think of many quite famous drummers outside of Dave Grohl.

Freddie is great, so easy to make him look good. Then again he's my first realistic human figure since I began collecting so of course he'd look more natural and photogenic even in the most mundane poses. The ankles definitely a weak point though, it's a bit hard to make him stand on his own sometimes, wish they included a stand.

The Predator was pretty good, and the AvP warrior wasn't too bad. If they had stuck with it and let the line evolve a little, they probably could have done some awesome stuff.

The NECA figures are fine. Their Aliens have a shit ton of articulation.
Their Aliens warrior isn't so great, because the legs are prone to breaking, but their Dog Alien and the AvP Xeno are probably two of the better Alien figures around. They're definitely among some of NECA's best figures.

Yeah, I realize how it sounds, but I've been collecting for a long, long time. 10 years ago I would've thought the NECA alien stuff was marvelous, but I've been spoiled with SHF. We're quickly reaching a point where the line might fizzle out. There are only three real protagonists left (Ramenman, Terryman, Geronimo), and main antagonists are starting to get scarce as well. Like you said, Super Phoenix and Big the Budo, maybe the other Scramble Kinnikus, and that's about it unless they went on to one-match villains, which would totally kill the line.

CD Japan is a very reliable store. I've ordered several times from them, including Macross stuff that sold out super quickly elsewhere, and they've always been great. Their customer service responds really quickly too. Be aware that you need to select credit card payment in order to pay later on preorders; paying with Paypal requires you to pay upfront.
I think their main weakness is that their shipping rates for multiple items aren't so great (rates are fine for individual items, though).

Kind of depends if you have either of their previous versions. I thought the last cap was a flawed masterpiece. He wasn't perfect due to some QC and proportion issues, but I feel like he's the best 6" cap we've gotten yet. The new head can only help the CW version.
As far as the 47 goes, bandai's basically been putting out an iron man every year, and they've gotten pretty good at it. Barring a massive fuck up out of nowhere, he'll probably end up somewhere between good and great.

The hood isn't much better with the cloth. The way the robe sits over the chest makes him look fatter. I just didn't like the 'flow' of the robes on the body. It was an interesting experiment, but yeah, decided I like the vanilla figuarts Ren better.

I really disagree with this. It's a little pointier than I'd like at the back area, but the front is perfect. You can't really have him with the hood back though, so I'll give you that.

I agree with the second part? I think the chest looks perfect with the cloth, although I'll be the first to admit the waist area isn't great. To be fair though, none of the toys of him capture the flat horizontal midsection of the actual costume. I think the only time the stock plastic robes look better is when they're hanging straight down, and even then they're a little poofy around the hips.
Overall I'd say figuarts+cloth >>>> black series > figuarts alone.

Which version of black Kylo Ren robes did you use? I had the first one (got it off of Amazon right at Force Friday), so it's the longer robes. I don't think the hood is different in either version, just the second version is more bunched under the plastic scarf. I never got the cloth hood to 'rest' well on Ren's head. I didn't mess with bunching the excess hood under the scarf, though, but it didn't look that good for Me.
In the end, I just find the plastic robes to be less of a hassle and works better with the aesthetic of My toys.

I got an amazon warehouse one for cheap a couple months ago (around the date of that pic), and I guess I lucked out and got the revision. You're right, I remember there was a ton of hood fabric bunched up under the plastic cloak piece, so that part at least should be the same. I can see the actual lower part of the robe being a dealbreaker if you had the extra long version though, it's basically flush with his feet on mine.
