Generally he's pretty good and they did something a bit extra on top of the magnetic limbs with a different texture to his body. I can't quite explain it but it's definitely different than other Nendoroids and I guess it was suppose to emulate his general "softness"

It is the same for me, scale figs often have a detail that I really don't like or an imperfection that bothers me but I've never had that with nendos, the deformed look probably helps with that since it doesn't seek perfection but cuteness

What I find really endearing about nendos besides their cuteness is their versatility. I love being able to set them up in different scenes and swap face plates and parts. Sometimes I'm even tempted to buy a nendo just for the nice accessories or interesting faces hah. But I always force myself to watch the source materials in the case to not be a complete fag.

Hey guys, don't frequent /toy/ often because I don't really collect them, but I have a question.
I bought a Link Nendoroid (Wind Waker version) off of Amazon a couple days ago. It shipped prime and cost $37. Because the figure is still pretty widely available in the US, I thought for sure it wouldn't be a bootleg. It just arrived, but now I'm having doubts. I don't want to open it until I confirm it's authentic.
The only really glaring issue is that the Nintnendo Seal of Approval isn't a holographic sticker. Instead, it's just a glossy, square sticker. Everything else looks right (I think) such as the Good Smile Company's logo on the top of the box.
I've looked at other people's unboxing videos, and they all seem to have the holographic seal of approval. I'll follow up with a picture shortly.
I can get my money back no problem and have Amazon cover the return shipping if I report it is a bootleg, but I'm hoping it doesn't come to that. I should have just ordered from Gamestop so I didn't have to worry about it to begin with.

I've received bootleg products through Amazon fullfilled pages before though, so I guess I can't be too surprised.
Every single video unboxing and picture has an oval sticker with the seal looking like a holographic seal or a gold one. None of them have the "TM &(C) 2015 Nintendo." under the sticker; trust me when I say I have looked at a LOT of boxes and couldn't find a single one that had my sticker. Also, I was looking at bootleg boxes, and they look identical to mine. They even have the Good Smile Company logo on them.
I'm convinced mine is a bootleg now. Already sent in the return form to Amazon; I might be out any money, just time. Considering I can have my postal carrier pick it up, even that's not too bad. I'll just buy mine off of Gamestop where I know it will be legit.

Unless you are really handy with power tools, I would advise against making your own. You can find some pretty cheap stuff via ebay and aliexpress and it will save you the hassle of making your own
