Yeah, he's a good mold, but I don't let that be enough for me. There has to be something else. In this case it was the thought of funny spin off adventures starring Ratchet and Bantor, which was caused by that one line of dialogue.
But let me tell you. Spin off of canon characters is the weakest of all my reasons to buy certain toys. It never ends well. I realize I am not invested in telling those spin off stories, so it makes sense to get rid of them, but I did buy the toys for a reason, so I more than likely would end up buying them again in the future. It leaves me in this limbo where I have to just hold on to them and hate myself for not spending that money on more meaningful toys first.

Unfortunately for the AB mold you can't rip out the legs straight away. You can for the Fireflight mold (it actually makes it easier because the legs slot into grooves, so that makes it rather difficult to unhook them like on AB), but doing the same on AB is guranteeing the destruction of his kneecaps

Maybe downsizing further will be better, where you get Battle Pack Grim and Optimus, and everyone else is Legion size. That way Team Bee is complete, plus the Decepticon selection becomes bigger.

I guess go for the Takara Warrior Strongarm then, so you'll at least have the better paintjob with your deluxe-scale figure.
You'll have a complete Team Bee once Warrior Windblade is released, and then you can go get Voyager Grimlock and TAV21 Optimus Prime for scale.

For something that scales with Warrior class, there's TAV-21 Optimus Prime and TAV-33, the Supreme mode version.
Takara doesn't have the FOC Grimlock-retool yet. Only the hasbro platinum 2-pack has it.

From what I heard from Japan, there is a lot of QC issues with the set.
stuck knee on onslaught, head that pops off for Blastoff and the general imprecision on the pegs and plugs.
I don't know if this is very wide spread or not. The head issue with Blastoff is somewhat true.
The pegs and plugs thing are not really different from I got from Hasbro IMO.

Without knowing your existing forces, I can happily recommend the CW Protectobots. They are a nice little spread of some of the best molds the Combiner Wars line has to offer, and getting a full set increases your Autobot numbers very quickly.
