I groaned loudly upon seeing this thread, and groaned even louder after reading it. I'm not a huge Megaman fan actually, but these colors are REALLY iconic to me, I had an instant gut reaction of desire upon seeing them. However, 4-Inchnel is already too pricey of a line for my tastes, and this is a web exclusive, meaning no discount and shit expensive shipping. Plus, I don't even want two figures--a swappable chestpiece would have sufficed, and I don't wanna display both of these are once.
It seems like the universe is trying hard as fuck to get me to not buy this figure...which is a god damn shame. It looks really nice.

I think I prefer the game colors, honestly. The anime coloring was kinda garish, and lacked the subtle deco changes(gold to silver, blue becoming almost black, emblems fading).

The first repaint was a backer incentive for funding over a certain amount, and the two convention exclusives are donut steel originals. They are not essential or desirable enough to justify full production runs.
You missed the boat on the first repaint and would have to pay a nice, fat latecomer's tax for one now. Black X can be bought for $170-ish on eBay from collectors, and the new deco likely will not cost that much after the initial hype. Suck it up, because this is not unusual in toy collecting.

No, and I only have the regular X deco. I'm "defending" them because you apparently have no idea how normal what they're doing is. It's not lazy, and I'm sure these new, original decos were designed for each convention in the first place.
And how are they lazy for making exclusive souvenir decos for conventions? The guys at TruForce aren't the ones assembling and painting these, nor delivering them to the warehouses. They're the ones designing the new decos and packaging, and directing the whole operation. The only thing I'd consider lazy on their part is the complete lack of remolding.
Now let me ask you this: Why do you want, scratch that, NEED every single repaint of this figure? I understand wanting an exclusive because the deco tickles your fancy, but you seem to want every possible niche redeco served up at all the major online retailers because you either don't know how to get them aftermarket or won't spend more than the standard version's price.
