I'm more convinced on getting the Ichimatsu Nendo. I was just curious with regard to the extent of an average Nendoroid's posability and articulation; I tried looking for reviews but I'm not sure what would qualify as a normal/relatable figure to compare to Ichimatsu.
From my best guess, the legs are on ball joints and the arms are just swivel? I'm definitely sold on the design and accessories, was just wondering about this final detail. Thank you!

Pretty much. You can move the head around thanks to the neck joint (plus I think most Nendoroids have a replacement joint in case of breakage). There are specially jointed Nendoroids for specific characters but the Osomatsu Nendoroids just go by the general design of swappable arms for specific display poses and accessory count.
There's also the appeal of swapping bodies and parts from other Nendoroids so even if there is the limited posability there is still the accessories and alternate faces to look forward to. You just have to accept how limited they are and focus on the strengths.

I kinda have a dilemma. I've been trying to quit nendo collecting since April so I can collect more large and ellaborate scales. But every time I see an update on the swordboys, like pic related, or the HQs I feel a bit upset. The main reason I like both of the two, is because they don't have the regular square, clear bases. I feel like I should pick up buying the HQs again because fuck prize figs, and their Takara Tomy scales are ugly. With the swordboys, it's more about how nice they are together. I'm honestly lost on what to do at this point. I would collect both but I'm on a budget.

I usually use superglue. Anything that is intended to be used on plastics should be fine. You don't need to use much. Apply a little with a toothpick. You don't want it to overflow. Work over a sheet of carboard or tape your desk with masking tape. After carefully applying the exact amount of glue required you will have to hold it together for a set period of time. Once the glue has mostly settled gently set it aside and leave it alone for a week or more. If you try to adjust or prod it it will fall off. Leave it alone. If it falls off and you have to glue it again the bond won't be as strong.

Let's be real, though. The late-night anime market is focused largely on targeting a tiny subset of Japanese sperglords with disposable income to burn. The only difference is that figure companies try to predict what the Japanese sperglords will want in the hopes that they can make it before it loses relevance, whereas the American sperglords will be the ones approaching figure companies in the hopes that their niche shit gets made before it loses relevance. Late-night anime and Deviantart/Tumblr fads are pretty similar in terms of who their audiences consist of.
