So regarding Sentai SHFs and being "dead":
Correct me if I'm wrong with this; if sales are an issue with retail releases, but aftermarket prices show demand for those who want to complete teams (ie. Kyoryuger's that aren't Red fetch a high price on the Japanese aftermarket), why not make every member of a team P-Bandai exclusive? That prevents over-production and stores from having tons of Sentai SHFs in the clearance bin marked down 50-60%.
Unless there's a real issue with that marketing process, I don't understand why Bandai won't do it. It's a win-win, people who want get their figures, and Bandai won't suffer a loss on the production side of things.

Gills is a still a fantastic figure, with excellent sculpt and accessories. His articulation is pretty good, too.
Exceed's red spikes fall off a bit too easily, and his design make his articulation a little wonky, but he's still decent.

The only issue the current G3-X SHFs have is diecast feet. Everything else is decent enough by todays standard for them. So get one for cheap now, then splurge on an SHFSS if it ever comes. At least that way if it never happens, you'll have one in your collection.

Not at all, the figure suffers from the early Figuarts anorexia problem. Also many accuracy and proportion issues in general.
The die-cast feet is a huge reason why I want a SHFSS, yeah. I sold off my G3-X for cheap because of how loose it gotten, and it pains me to know that I can't have Figuarts Ouja to play with because of that shit too.

We're not talking about QC issues or anything, but the figure itself.
It's still a fun figure, but it's one of the most obviously aged molds + die-cast feet can wear out gradually as you use them.

Oh, I know, I just mean so far it's held up pretty well and, proportions aside, I don't think of it as much of a lesser toy compared to say renewal Black RX or SHFSS Agito. It's like, obviously older, but I don't hold that against it.

It's been 5 years.
Oddly enough my Ryuki's diecast joints are still strong while my Decade which I haven't touched since 2009 went to shit just lying in the box. I've heard Ryuga, like Odin, has this weird thing with diecast feet and plastic toes that never worked for me.
