This version of Ryoma is from the mid90s OVA Shin Getter Armageddon. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but it's fucking awesome. You can catch the whole series on Youtube.

while ryoma is small, the sentinel getter is not that big either, it's around 18 cm iirc, while ryoma is 10 cm so he should be above getter's waist instead of above the legs

This is me basically. I know nothing about Getter Robo but Ryoma looks like a badass. Unfortunately, he's really expensive for a 4" figure, so I can't justify splurging. I'm usually all for buying characters you know nothing about, but when the price to size/value gets bad, I need to limit it to characters I really like.
