If Trunks coming to the past caused a ripple effect that caused different androids to show up, how is it not possible that it caused Chichi to become pregnant later?
As in, in Trunks' timeline, she was pregnant 6 months earlier, before Goku died. But since he was training for the androids in the altered timeline, it didn't happen until just before the androids showed up.

However, in the altered (main) timeline, he was conceived 6 months later because Goku was training for the androids.
Still, there are some problem with that theory because 1) sperm/eggs don't work that way. The chances of the right sperm hitting the right egg 6 months earlier than the main timeline's sperm/egg to create the exact same person are astronomical at best. 2) Even if lightning struck twice and Goten was born 6 months earlier, why the fuck was there no mention of him at all in the History of Trunks.
Now that I think about it...was Chi Chi even mentioned in the History of Trunks? Been a while since I saw it, but I only remember Bulma mentioning to Gohan that he reminds her of his dad. Nothing about Chi Chi at all.

So there is cemented evidence that Goten was born shortly before the Cell Games (probably withing the 9 day gap), and it's also stated in the Manga and Anime that Goten is a year younger than Trunks.
Now it could be that in Future Trunks' time Goten was conceived earlier than Trunks due to Goku not training for the 3 years in preparation for the Androids, but then Goten would likely be older than Trunks, or at least closer in age. This seems unlikely however because he is never mentioned, seen or hinted at in the future timeline.
Like many anons are saying, this could be a retcon since there is no definitive evidence saying Goten does not exist in the future that Trunks comes from, but you'd have to imagine Trunks would have at least known of Goten even if he never mentions him, which doesn't seem to be the case in Super.
We'll likely find out in the next episode what Black's deal is, but I believe that that it's likely to be Goten solely because I think its dumb, therefore it's a likely case and it'll grow on me eventually.
Given the green smoke and the form of the shadows in the smoke though, I hope it's not Goten and either a weird creature or something taking on Goku's appearance.
My worst fear is that Dr. Myuu is behind it, and is using Baby to control Goku's somehow revived body, since Trunk's future could be around the point of GT if it's time runs linearly to the main timeline, thus bringing GT into the main canon and mucking with the actual canon. Not because I hate GT (it's an ok thing by itself and a cool concept albeit poorly executed) but because, like most of the movies it can't fit into the canon.
