No and as far as I know Jotaro 1st real issue was the face sculpt. Whoever did the sculpt for Shuu just fucked up next to the color choice. It just makes it seem like a rush job or they didn't care for him as much.
Kaneki is looking okay but since his main weapon of attack is just a static piece I don't know if Medicos will add in jointed parts like Shinichi with his extended arm.

Mandarake is dependent on whoever sells her at any of their store fronts. Reasonable prices is sort of up to whoever handles that but generally I've seen her hit 3.5k-4k usually for Jolyne 1st.

It's going at a decent pace. Bruno from Part 5 got a reissue amongst the Part 4 adaption hype which surprised many. Jotaro part 4+SP part 4, Josuke+Crazy Diamond got reissued recently next to Kira and Killer Queen.
Mind you only 1st variants get reissued. The good colors have been stuck as original release with no reissues in sight. You may have to bite the late comer's tax on those colorways

It's fun, works with symbolism quite well, is well aware enough to have both edgy characters and have there be a penalty for being overly edgy which leads to them learning from it (i.e. characters improve)
It has fun character and kagune designs, sometimes there are too many characters, but many of them are fleshed out. Writer manages to, usually, make what seems like the most inhuman and monstrous of scumbags come over as sympathetic, although he does not always time that well.
It's flawed but fun and interesting enough to capture my attention.
You can't compare it to Jojo because they're two entirely different things, and someone who really likes Jojo is less likely to like Tokyo Ghoul for the reason that its themes are quite different. But that's not a bad thing.
Just wish this constant bellyaching about whether a series is good or not would stop. Whether or not you like Tokyo Ghoul, Medicos is currently trying out a line of Tokyo Ghoul figures. You can either deal with it or throw a huge tantrum every time "your Jojo thread becomes infected with the horrible Edgelord Ghoul garbage.".
You don't have to like it, hell - you don't even have to give it a chance. But be mature and have the common courtesy to let people like what they want and talk about the SAS releases that interest them.
It's not even the place to talk about how bad a show is; it's /toy/, not /a/, and if you want to talk about how shit TG, feel free to make a thread there.

Joseph was reissued recently. Not sure if Medicos will keep pursuing Part 2 seeing they only have Ceasar and the Pillarmen.
Also the newer reissues have the new skin paint apps so everyone is a little more lighter in shading versus the tanning (and sometimes overtanning) from the original release.

I doubt they would, Medicos strength is sculpt and paint but they seem to also tackle series that don't have a lot of figures like Parasyte or Drifters (barring Revoltech's own Toyohisa.)
Tokyo Ghoul could be a chance to do something interesting if they pursue more characters and use it as a secondary series to create next to JJBA instead of a one and done thing.
Personally I feel they aim for "weird" IP's because of Parasyte and Aijin and should pursue that instead of bigger series like Naruto. Looking back I really want to see them do a Dorohedoro figure line, seems right up their alley.

Could be Medicos only planned to do IBM and just decided to make them tall figures to really show off which benefited it greatly because the longer limbs offers some solid range for both the arms and legs versus the standard SAS size.
Sort of hope the winged one is getting considered but since Medicos made the IBM release act as a thing where you need to buy another to display both characters I don't know if they would go back. Now the only thing left to do is figure what assault rifles would scale correctly for it.

It really depends.
Jotaro 1st had a "1.5" release to fix the face and that's it. Star Platinum did get an upgrade in articulation for his Part 4 variation but it depends if you see that as a 2.0 sort of deal since it's intended as a new sculpt to reflect Star Platinum' s design in part 4.
As of right now I only see Medicos just doing new colors and new series figures versus 2.0 upgrades. Either the demand isn't there or they aren't planning to go further into new engineering for their figures like other companies would.

Hmm, I guess compared to the anime, the SAS little a little skinny. If you compare it to the original art or the arcade game, it's pretty spot on. But compared to any of the newer figures, they are very skinny and out of proportion.

Jotaro is pretty hobbled, but I think a lot of it comes down to character design limitations. The billowing jacket impedes backwards bending motion for his torso, the high collar and his sorta longish hair in the back makes it difficult for him to look up, and the short gap between his belts and the inseam of his pants in the crotch make it hard to get the clearance you'd need for adequate forward leg movement (which you'll never actually see whenever someone says the articulation is "fine," usually they'll just have Jotaro leaning midair).
But looking past those three aspects, all of the other articulation works really well. So I think even in a complete ground-up redo of Jotaro you'd still have articulation gripes.
But the Part 3 Stand user figures do collectively look like ass, when compared to the near-decade younger modern stuff.

If anything I just want to see new engineering be applied for future figures that isn't JoJo so they revisit specific release that desperately need it. There's a lot to borrow from other lines but Medicos feels like they would rather rule in paint and sculpt and stick to the whole "Super Action Statue" name.

Yeah, Killer Queen combos almost perfectly with either Kira release. The green on Kira 1st's shoes doesn't tie all that well with KQ3rd but the Kosaku head is often displayed with his white suit and looks pretty good. Same case with Kira 2nd's purple.

Average articulation and the paint apps won't wow you since you got the 1st colorways coming in. If you want to use KQ and Stray Cat you need to put your thumbnail under the ab piece and try to pry it out very slowly until it's loose.
Not many other issues I encountered on either regular and reissue Kira and KQ.

The line isn't really well known for its articulation in general so it's largely average all around except for Star Platinum Part 4, Part 2 characters except for Ceasar considering his outfit on his torso, and I think the Kinnikumen releases back then.
Kira isn't horrible and far better than what Medicos did to Shuu for his button up suit design. Medicos is more bound to keeping the sculpt and design rather than make major cuts needed to boost articulation if need be.

Treat it carefully and don't force joints to move if they don't want to initially. Use warm water if it's stiff to soften it and then move it around to get it going.
There should be a manual in every SAS that details the points of articulation so reference that first so you know what to manipulate. Also don't pull and twist the head off. The neck is on a ball joint and my general tip is just pull it off carefully and try not to snap the joint.

Just ordered a King Crimson SAS, came with the leg detached. Buyer said it was new, but clearly it's been resealed since it has the alternate hands on. Is there a way to reattach it easily; it doesn't seem to just snap on. Or should I just go for the refund?

Just for future reference...SAS joints are super fucking tight by design and not meant to be popped on/off easily. You definitely need hot water unless you want to risk breaking it. Every now and then you might get a figure with something that pops off but it's an abnormality.
If the figure didn't have alt hands on it (which literally never happens at the factory, ever) then i'd tell you to try to pop that leg on. However, since it's clearly an opened figure being sold as an unopened I think you should get a refund so you don't risk breaking the figure.
Obviously this person had a problem with the figure and tried to sell it off to someone else so they didn't have to deal with it. Since they don't tape their box shut anymore there is no way to tell if something is really new or not but this dumbass was too stupid to put the fist hands back on.

Not him but I generally get a bowl of hot water and put the stiff area in it for a minute and work into rotation until it's good then let it stay outside untouched for the plastic to cool again.
Though I did put a KQ in a bowl of slightly boiling water for a custom job and literally all the joints popped out perfectly.

I'm late saying this, but don't do hot water. Use a hair dryer. No fuss, no clean up, just 30 seconds of direct aiming. It won't get hot enough to melt plastic, just soften it.
