How? You'd need not just new parts but some new bots as well. The thing is, CW is NOT G1. It's loosely based on G1 but the actual physical models are different. Haphazardly gluing on some extra crap to try and make it look G1 doesn't really work. It's half-assed at best.

Granted, we don't know if the Monstructor release will or won't have shells. There are small groups of people yapping Monstructor is cancelled or there's no shells, but FP never gives information like that until the first figure is dropped on us, meaning it's just complete speculation as per usual.
The last we heard they were looking into smaller shells, hence their teaser art showing them off.
Will it pan out? We really don't have any idea. They're still trying to finish up Dinoking. Two legs missing, two shells for preorder and still no teasers for the last two.
As for being based on IDW, Dinoking isn't. Their representatives at TFCon and the like have expressed interest in doing an IDW head for Monstructor, but the fall back seems to be shared heads between the two.

Some old PoS handmedown digital camera. AFAIK the lens on it is fine, but it seems to never agree with any amount of light I give things. Always too dark which makes photos come out grainy as shit, or I need to break out the flash which also makes things look like shit.

You'll need putty, the ability to use sand paper without fucking up the surface, some cutting skills if you want any engraved details (seeing its hand painted detail shows how shit the 3d model was) and proper paint skills.
Only a moderately good modeler would have any chance, most of us into transformers would lack such a talent as we're too busy arguing about how shit paint apps are to learn how to paint, let alone more advanced stuff only someone who's spent waaaaaaaaay too long would ever do

With premium collectables early adopters can get UW releases (and platinum editions-some you can't get here even) far cheaper than anyone else, and even if we used the likes of HLJ we STILL beat what local retail could ever promise, god people are stupid.
But then again so am I, I got my goat soundwave for $105 at myers as I had a discount plus sales, next thing he went on clearance for $99 2 weeks after, didn't bother even trying with the conehead set seeing how I still have my g1 ramjet (and seeing the swirling plastic on the wings worries me more than clear plastic, I handled clear plastic toys far longer than gps stuff and know what to do and expect).

So you have to open the torso, you'll have to remove the pins on the chest, that could be worse if you don't know how to do it, just wedge the legs into the crotch removing the ratchet bits, it will still stand with friction, won't be perffect but will serve as a remider to not be so careless again.
if you get stress marks after wedging in the legs use a hairdraier or heat gun to remove them, 1-2 inches away and 5 min at a time until they disapear.

The Japanese dub had some good seiyuus in it, like Tessho Genda, the late Hirotaka Suzuoki (Bright Noa as Starscream), Sho Hayami, Masashi Ebara and so much more.
