Depends on the set, you will get more for stuff like Bohrok or classic Toa than you will from the Hordika or Visorak for example. In general, the cooler a set looks + the more nostalgia people have for the set, the more its worth.

I'm guessing it's probably a beta of the summer patch if there aren't any beasts or any of the other three Toa. There's no way the full update won't have the beasts, they're even color coded to match the difficulty of the skull enemies for god's sake.

The other three Toa are in the game now, though. There's 15 new levels, Gali, Onua, and Kopaka, and Umarak the Destroyer as a boss. That's it. There isn't really any new scenery like the apocalyptic hellscape or the volcano either. The majority of the levels still only take place within the Maze.
I haven't played all 15 yet, but so far I've seen a comic where the Toa fight Umarak briefly and then he escapes. I've seen another through where LAST YEARS Ekimu walks up to a defeated Destroyer and pulls off his mask, but I doubt that's canon. It's probably just a ploy for the game so they don't entirely spoil the end of JtO.

I dunno what it is about CCBS figures (and also mocs) but most of them aren't photogenic and look WAY better in person.
Have a subline of Bionicle that features mainly mixels joints, with maybe a new joint piece for hips.
Then the sets can be cheaper because they're smaller, masks can be minifig scale helmets, detail will be way higher because of various plates/details, they'll be able to wield minifig weapons and combine much easier, functions are still entirely possible (Klinkers Max has a fucking gearbox), and more diverse body styles would be even easier to create, so Ouna can be the bulky hunchback he's supposed to be and Pohatu and Gali can have their thicc hips.
Were the G1 playsets not well liked? I remember seeing them ages ago on the shelf and feeling they weren't good deals, but the psuedo-Giger look was always appealing.
I picked up the Toa Terrain Crawler last year for a decent price and thought it was pretty neat.

Went to the Lego store today after work to see if there were any sightings of the summer wave, no such luck but I did find last summers skull baddies on sale after that location not even having any in stock for weeks, I picked up the Mask Maker vs Skull Grinder set, Skull Warrior and Skull Scorpio sets for 20% off, which was nice.

Unfortunately true. I've got almost the entire G1 line with nowhere to put them, so they're disassembled and bagged/canned up in five storage totes. They're just too large to have out all at once, and even if you have the space they'll aesthetically look like the contents of a Lego bin. There's so much part and color reuse going on between most of them that they have to be spaced out or else they visually run together.

Small Ekimu could fight at once with a bunch of soldiers that gave the Toa a hard time and took them a team effort to beat. And even if you choose to take that promo video of him as non canon, once he got his Mask back he easily one shot a guy who in turn had previously one shot all six Toa.
Small Ekimu is easily at least as strong as 3-4 Toa put together. Larger Ekimu might be even stronger.

We've had a chance to go back to Glatorian launchers (which were ridiculously overused in HF) or Zamor (the mold still existed few years back), but I can see why Lego keeps pushing the six-shooter.
It's relatively small and simple piece, it shoots stuff that everyone has million off, and it can be integrated into almost every single other theme as well.

In all honesty though, TTV is pretty shit. Before they moved to Vessel, they moaned how we all should watch the ads in front of their videos to help them out for all their "hard work" and now they moan at us constantly that we should subscribe to them on Vessel. Sorry but I ain't paying 2,99 a month.
They even have a fucking animated Vessel ad in front of almost all their videos and it's cringey as fuck and the first 20 minutes of their podcast is always them sucking Vessel's dick pretty much.
Not to mention the horrible release schedules. The winte 2016 just released and their booktalk videos for a book that released beginning this year have only now started to appear. In their podcasts they sometimes ask each other why someone hasn't uploaded a specific video yet and their response is usually along the lines of: "I haven't finished it." or "Didn't feel like it."
