June Challenges:
>Build a minifigure of a Star Wars character that doesn't already have one.
>Build a robot command centre. You figure out what it's supposed to be a robot or command them!
>Build something that's mostly Lego but uses some third party/off brand pieces.
>Build a brick-built wheelchair that looks better than the one in 60134.
>Build something based off of another anon's MOC.
>Fenimiminismninimism- Give your female figs something BADASS to ride around in! Bonus points for minidolls.
>Make a Fighting arena for your two most badass minifigs!
>Home Sweet Home - In honor of Captain Rex's AT-TE, rebuild a vehicle into a mobile home for your favorite figs.
>Build a shrine or alter.
>June Bride. Set up an impromptu wedding between your sig fig and another fig, or your waifig/husbafig and another. Bonus points for celebrity guests, full musical acts and ultimate points for treating her/him like a princess/prince with a "fairytale wedding" (fancier the better).
that's a big wiener

Always right over here bro,
what kind of car do you want to see?
I've been scrounging parts for a dark purple one but having some trouble with the limited parts in that colour. The latest new thing i did was put a drumkit on the roof of my black jap muscle monstertruck.
my Rides right now consist of the aforementioned black Jap muscle with or without monstertruck wheels,
a yellow musclecar with or without monstertruck wheels,
the modded speed champions Camaro and Hotrod.
a yellow Deuce convertible,
a grey Jeep,
a 50's police car,
a racing truck with trailer,
a red volkswagen beetle,
a streetcleaner
and a blue shitbox.
I fucking love cars apparently.
I also made some summery pics that kinda go with a few challenges of this month. The cool grills in cars one and the summer challenge of /lg/. Does anyone else here have dedicated Summer/beach/seasonal outfits for their minifigures?
I'm working on my sushibar, any ideas for the tentacle related name, and what I can do on upper floor?
>>5710682
Inb4 "M-M-Muh MRA strawman!"
>>5710710
Dojo or Karaoke rooms on next floor?
>>5710713
Oh Karaoke room sounds amazing! It could be lead by my mermaid as Octogirl is the owner!
>>5710710
Maybe you can use the ninjago stickered paper walls window pieces for the second floor. And give it a temple like roofing?

Yes indeed I wanted to use dragon panels - that was the piece that modivated me to MOC that.

Sticky rice sounds nice.
I think I will call it R&R Restaurant
>Owner, what is the meaning behind the R&R name?
>"Rice&Rape"

>>5710737
I always wandered if the designer was male of female.
>>5710743
Most guys are men of women born.
>>5710737
It looks very 80s. Lego city is more timeless.
So this just happened.
Are any of the powers new? I can take pics later today if there's need.
Summer's here, and that means
THE GREAT LEGO QUEST SUMMER SPOOKY GIRL GIVEAWAY CONTEST
is happening right now!
Everyone in the Lego General has the chance to win their very own mint-in-bag Spooky Girl! Just make a summer-related MOC and take a picture of it (with timestamp) and post it in this thread along with an email. Once ten people have entered, the one that makes me laugh the most will win a free Spooky Girl!
This contest is open to everyone in the world, but it's only for people who don't already have a Spooky Girl of their own! If you already have one, please be nice and let someone else have a chance!
Offer ends June 15, 2016.

>>5710831
Nintendo is in bed with K'Nex, and they focus only on Marioshit. Unless something radical happens with their licensing it's never going to happen.
I wish all these stupid Zelda ideas proposals would stop already. They only take up space and siphon an obscene amount of votes that could be better used in more plausible projects.
>>5710737
I second this name.
Man, I wish I'd have gotten some Paradisa sets as a kid. There's Creator stuff like this, but it doesn't feel as tropical.
>>5710913
Pokemon Company doesn't necessarily follow who nintendo is in bed with. That's why Pokemon was with that awful brick robot brand not too long ago
>>5710883
Most amusement parks are pretty brightly colored generally.
I can understand complaining about color scheme in some Friends-sets, but not this time
>>5710777
The coolest part about the Aero-Striker V2 was when I realized V1 was part of the Fortrex.
>>5710913
>They only take up space
Of which there is unlimited space.
>and siphon an obscene amount of votes
You do know you can support any number of ideas, right? It's not votes, it's support.
>>5710991
I meant they take the spotlight because of casualfag sites going "OMG WE WANNA HAVE SUM ZELDA LEGOS" and its casualfag readers who flock to Ideas and blindly support those projects with no idea of how the licensing actually works.
The Zimbabwe Science Show and Doctor Meme sets happened because of this, while more worthwhile (and likely less expensive) proposals remain ignored.
>>5710997
These things also draw new users into the website, some amount of which will look around at other projects and support them, as well.
No matter what, big name projects will inspire the most attention. Other projects do happen, though. The Exo-Suit, Birds, and the Curiosity rover all attracted enough attention, without being tied to pop-culture.
Pretty much, the big hopeless projects draw people in. They get attention, and then some of the people stick around for other stuff. That's how the site attracts new users.
>>5710777
Originally i didn't want this but looking at it more makes me want it more
god damn it
>>5710387
So where does the Lego : I face come from, anyway?
Is it actually legit or knockoff?
>>5711030
It was made by minifig.me

I was hoping it was an actual piece.

How close are medium blue and medium azure? Close enough that if I have torso in one color and the legs in other it would look close enough?
>>5711218
Not very. Medium azure has more green in it.
>>5711160
buy the hearse, sell off the minifigs
>>5711218
Here's a comparison with Nelson Muntz's torso (medium azure) and Itchy's legs (medium blue).

You need to add a flat panel tv in there on the wall. Maybe find one of those small smooth plates and print out a screen grab of a karaoke track to print on a sticker for it.

Just buy the lego ideas ecto.

But its so worth it when you can part out a vehicle or build cheaper than the people selling it all together!
>>5711490
Curses, I've been foiled.
I do have most of the exclusive space slug set on the cart. As well as few oddities I need for things.
I just can't justify it right now. I've done several 20€ orders this week already.
>>5711490
How the fuck do you part out a vehicle from a large set? I want to do the 66 Batmobile but there are so many parts in the entire set.
>>5711499
That way I do it is go through the instructions and add the pieces to the wanted list. Its time consuming and autistic as fuck, but hasnt failed me yet.
>>5711499
You can part out sets on BL to wanted list.
In that case, you can either open the scan of the manual while on the parting out-page and manually count the parts, or search if anyone has done the .xml-file of the Batmobile alone. And I'm fairly sure someone has.

I'm a little sad we don't get a Black Knight Squirebot, instead getting a normal one with the king's crest.
>>5711679
I'm pretty sure Robin doesn't have any Squirebot in the series, but the set looks like shit anyway so it's no big deal. What a step down from the King's Mech. I wonder if both are made by the same designer.
>>5711692
I believe it was actually designed BEFORE the King's Mech was, as it's set number 70326 versus the King's Mech's set number being 70327.
>>5711679
Why do they so often assemble the joints in a way that hampers articulation?
>>5711722
Likely because they focus on build strength more than articulation, as opposed to many MOCs out there that are highly articulated but fall apart if you sneeze in the same room.
>>5711692
Isnt there a robin squirebot that comes with some book or something?
>>5711728
There's an Aaron squirebot in an activity book. (That I totally bought...)
>>5711108
Well developmentally we all begin as females and will progress to be one unless Y chromosome kicks in.
>>5711834
How would reversing it help?
POST KNIGHTS
>>5711834
In that case for the arm hold the sword it uses a 2x2 brick with 2 balls, so reverting it may not be an option, but only because there's no 2x2 brick with 2 sockets.
>>5711837
yes because you can rotate the socket to allow movement in any direction you want, you can't do that when the socket is part of the body.
>>5711837
the reverse is how your shoulder works.
>>5711840
>yes because you can rotate the socket to allow movement in any direction you want, you can't do that when the socket is part of the bo
Aaaah, I see now. Hm. Probably a simple modification to do...
>>5711842
That... Is incorrect. The socket is on your torso, the ball is on your arm. It's just a much smaller socket allowing for a greater range of motion.

They mainly got him to get Wanda out of her home confinement, as she's their heaviest hitter by far. He also brings a good amount of experience and utility to the table.

>>5711900
Hawkeye really has no business being on the same team as War Machine
>War Machine is just as capable of a pilot, if not more so, being an airman
>superior targeting ability AND firepower
>Tony obviously trusts Rhodes more than anyone else or he would've made suits for Falcon and Hawkeye
>Hawkeye barely even wants to be there sinc ehe has a family and a farm
>There is no way to prove that 9/11 wasn't a false flag operation
>Killing Hawkeye in AoU would've let us keep Quicksilver, who, while annoying, has more interesting powers and would be more of an asset against Thanos
>Would've given Black Widow more tragedy to play off of and would be much, much better than her romance with the Hulk that nobody wanted
>>5711950
They're on opposite teams.
If you're looking for the guy who has no business being War Machine's counterpart, look for the black man military man who can fly.
>>5711950
Dont forget Rhodes had to STEAL the suit initially, and god only knows what the military did to fuck with it.
>>5711894
daww look at the cute widdle kwansman
>>5711961
Do you think Iron Man or War Machine is the most capable combatant?
The suits both evolved from the Mark II, in different directions, and the two pilots are also very different.
Anybody else make any derpimals lately?
>>5711961
>both black guys on the team stole their supersuits
>>5711975
What about Black Panther?
>>5711950
>>There is no way to prove that 9/11 wasn't a false flag operation
What the fuck
>>5711979
True as that may be, it really has nothing to do with anything
>>5711957
I meant the Avengers overall
At least with falcon you could argue that Redwing could've been Stark's design and Black Widow can't be a seductress in one
>>5711950
>Killing Hawkeye in AoU would've let us keep Quicksilver, who, while annoying, has more interesting powers and would be more of an asset against Thanos
Quicksilver died so Marvel Studios could use Wanda, just as Wanda is barely mentioned and then disappears in the Fox movies

senpai I'm sorry but very few of these are impressive. Branch out. You have 30, all subtle variations on the same design. We get it, you make speeders. Show me how you do a starfighter, gimmie some greebles, throw some interesting designs out there and stop rehashing your old shit to cling to relevancy.

What is the Lego position on minifig tits?
I thought it was no tits since drawing tits is sexist and offends muslims or something.
>>5712045
v. nice. Huge fan of the design. Maybe mix it up with some colour?
>>5712148
This is what a real lego minifig looks like
>>5712045
Super cool! I love industrial, re-purposed looking ships.
I built these some time ago, recently I decided they were rather limited in application so I took them apart, steadily acquired more useful parts...

Heh thanks, I wanted a ship that could carry around a decent-sized ground vehicle as well as a half-dozen crew, it kept growing to accommodate all my ideas and now it weighs a ton, but I like it.
>>5712171
can you show it fitting the vehicle in?
>>5712157
Not a big fan of the colors but I like it
Maybe make it a bit less clunky and more smooth lookin
Lots of potential keep going :)
>>5712176
>do it slowly
>>5712174
The fit is just about perfect, took a while to fine-tune everything but I'm quite satisfied with the results. The trailer is disassembled and stowed on the underside of the ship, not the best option but the only viable one really.
>>5712177
The colors fit in with the theme of the faction operating it, an arctic-based exploration group with ties to Ice Planet 2K2, the clunky look goes along with their less advanced level of technology compared to other factions.
>>5712045
Looks sick.
Also, clean your room.
>>5712157
Looks like you could throw a sweet party in there.
>>5712190
It's quite roomy inside without the vehicle stowed, yeah. Might make some modular components sometime to fill out the interior in an alternate configuration.

Well then. There goes those plans as well.
So why does Lego never put these fuckers on standard minifig-sized cars? Half the cars in the City series actually look better with them, mudguards be damned.
>>5712585

>>5712769
Like all other minifigures of course.
>>5712770
Slightly sulfuric with a hint of mildew?
>>5712772
I always feel like minifigures smell like air.
>waiting for someone to upload a parts list for a new set on bricklink so you can see which parts you'd actually want
My lego Chewbacca Keychain was falling apart. Tried to get replacement parts for him. They sent me a whole new one free.
>>5712798
Just look on Lego CS and pop those numbers into a text file like any fule kno
>>5712798
>tfw just getting back into lego and want to use bricklink but afraid I'll fuck up something courtesy related and be flagged as "do not sell to" forever
>>5712806
Just make sure you pay in time and leave feedback.
And besides, you have to fuck up several times before they ban you
Why do they keep doing this shit? It makes no sense to put this sticker in any car that includes them.
>>5712823
Because fuck you, stickers and mudgards are the name of the game in City.
>>5712819
>make sure you pay in time
Why wouldn't you pay as soon as you place the order?
Are there people that wait six days or something?
>>5712824
Unless it's a construction thing which has fewer stickers and no mudguards if you're lucky.
I got the Bulldozer 60074 on a whim after rediscovering how great Lego is a few months ago and man, there's TREADS now! And non-blocky vehicles! And inventive uses of transparent blocks for headlights and door lights! And lots of bricks with pegs on the side! And a manual as thick as my finger, and it's only a 384 piece set (which is still way larger than anything I had in my youth).
When I was a kid I only had the rubber 'treads' that you slung around two wheels and god damn I would have killed a man for actual treads or sideways bricks you didn't have to build up three other pieces to make.

Most shops send you an invoice because they have to check if they really have all the parts and how much shipping will be. Don't just send people money before they know you owe them money.
>>5712832
Interesting.
Difficult as well.
>>5712823
Lego are going fucking crazy with stickers at the moment.
This doesn't even show a third of the stickers that come with the set.
>>5712838
>FIRM GRIP
>>5712834
It can be simple. Ideally, first you'd place your order. Next, the seller makes up and invoice after doing their math and whatnot. You then decide if you're happy with the amount requested and decide to pay or cancel the order. If you cancel, no harm done. You both wasted a little time, but most people are understanding. If you decided to pay, you then use an agreed upon method to give the seller your money. The seller then sends the items off and a few days later a bunch of danish plastic arrives at your front door. Then you tell the guy something like "Thanks! Great experience!" and they send something equally as silly back. Now you've completed a Bricklink order. EZ PZ

So it's like a fancy diner where you have to meet and greet everyone twice, but without the confusion of which fork to use.
>You then decide if you're happy with the amount requested and decide to pay or cancel the order.
So the big price difference will be how much they decide to charge for Whatever Fees They Feel Are Necessary plus postage etc (so look for shops that don't have bullshit useless fees)?
>>5712506
Yeah I was using some free green screen app and I loved how hilarious the monster looked on that background
>>5712823
It's for your storage containers
>>5712849
Most shops list the fees on the splash page or store terms. But, yes. It is easier to not have to deal with lot limits, minimum buys, paypal fees, and all those.
Just take your time with the first few orders. Don't be scared to send the shop a message if you want to know about what they will charge.
>>5711839
Ice Bear Knight beat Knight.
>>5712859
Sending messages seems to be the best route. Hopefully they'll understand I'm a newshit and be helpful instead of attempting to screw me over, but I guess that's what feedback ratings are for.
>>5712332
>Knew a kid
Either made up or it was you getting tribal.
>>5712866
You could try someone from here. Several people have stores.
>tfw bought all 3 new Spider-Man sets today
Feels good man, can't wait to build that bridge.
ALSO, I ordered the Spider Gwen minifigure of Aliexpress the other day, can't wait to get it. Got any more recommendations for good figures? No interest in figures that already exists as "real" minifigures, but good 3rd party figs are always welcome
