What does /toy/ think of Bug Racer?
For the uninformed https://youtu.be/MQrf65VlnpQ
Why the fuck does this exist?
https://youtu.be/Fv4zbe0LEN8
Holy shit this is some tim and eric tier video
>>5701125
holy shit is this real? it's so very 90's, i mean it's almost illegal
I know insects are unfeeling organic robots, but this seems a more than a little grotesque for a toy.
>>5701133
Pretty much what I thought. Even looks like something from the 90's too.
>>5701125
I imagine kids going
>Lets see which one will jump out of stairs first!
This reminds me of those horrible model rocket kits that had a clear plastic chamber for small bugs and possibly frogs or mice...
>>5701132
>>5701132
>>5701125
>>5701131
I'm scared and confused.
>>5701132
>This is a real video Mattel made to promote a toy car you imprison a live animal within, lashed to the mast
Should've made a bigger one that can fit cats
>>5701125
How the fuck does someone come up with this shit?
I'm honestly surprised this isn't a meme yet.
>WHY WONT ANYBODY THINK OF THE INSECTS?????!!!1
Silly Americans.
>>5701132
WHAT THE FUCK???
this is some weird video man
Can you put other bugs in it?
>>5702407
>sensor
>it reacts to cricket movement because it's a sensor
>C-CAN I PUT OTHER BUGS?
Are you retarded?
Clearly an amerifat. This project is for you.
>>5702410
How do you know the sensor doesn't pick up other bugs?
>>5702441
>implying i said it can't
Why are you even asking that question? Do you use your brain?
Are you five? Do hamburgers cause autism?
Fucking moron. Do you really though that a stupid toy budget was so big that they built a NEW SENSOR that exclusively detects CRICKETS?
If such thing existed people would make human-exclusive sensors to use it in war or some shit.
Dumbass amerifat.
>>5702449
pretty good shitposting
>>5702462
No seriously - why he even had such thoughts?
If that car is cricket-exclusive...that means humanity made a sensor that can detect ONLY crickets.
Fucking madness. And that sensor is so cheap you can put it into a shitty plastic toy on batteries.
Then...why people don't make human-exclusive sensor that detects only humans?
Or some animal-exclusive for pets?
>>5702536
>make a cricket-exclusive sensor
>spend millions of country budget on that
>sensor can't work with other creatures - only Crickets. Car stops if you put other bug in it
>unique and mindblowing technology
>all it will be uceful for is that dumb toy car with meme-video
>>5702551
atleast it'll be useful when the cricket overlords finally take over
>>5701125
Amazon Clearance/10
>>5702520
Those things exist they have pet toys that only detect cats or dogs. Haven't you ever seen a touchscreen? I don't think an ant would work as well as a cricket they don't move the same way
>>5701125
Oh wow, it's a completely inferior copy of this guys idea.
>>5702407
i want to put a spider in it and see if it can run up walls now
This would work better filled with water letting a fish drive
>>5703356
already done.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbNmL6hSNKw
I can understand why the manufacturers opted for something with less water.
>>5703400
I figured it has been done, but that's kind of cool seeing it slightly understand it's movements control it. But that ain't no toy, it's a one of a kind prototype, and I think it would be better if it was controlled by (a) rolling sphere(s). 4 wheels that mainly go forward and backward would seem too complicated for a fish.
