>ITT: Toy lines you really miss and want more of.
Why on earth did hasbro cancel this line? Was it just because it didn't get popular until it's final wave and Clearance era? These guys are just Amazing toys.

Does anyone know of compatible figures with these guys? I want more really bad. I found some from my childhood lately and I am foaming at the mouth at how great they are.

They never really sold well. It was hard to get kids excited without a cartoon or movie tie-in, and a lot of stores over-ordered wave 1 (which, let's be honest, was okay but nowhere near as good as the designs got later in the line). It's not surprising that Hasbro canceled it, even later in the line when shit was getting really cool they still weren't selling that well.

It's a real shame though, cause they were some of the coolest and most creative toys ever put out under the Hasbro banner. I have assembled quite a large collection off eBay (which cost a LOT) and I love them to death.

The same guys who worked on it have produced the Modibot line recently, which actually is Xevoz-compatible! So if you're hungry for new parts or accessories, there's always that....sadly, Modibot is thematically nowhere near as interesting as Xevoz though.

It's bittersweet to see a toyline die locally but find out it was doing really well in other countries, continuing without you.

Xevoz came out what...? 2004~2005? Anyways, shortly after that, Hasbro's Stikfas license expired. I guess the end of Xevoz came with that

Stikfas manufactured their own stuff past that, but from what I hear, their post-hasbro quality is poor. It quietly died down later.

This is probably the reason. Hero Mashers are basically the same concept but have the benefit of having Power Rangers and Transformers characters and marvel heroes and what have you to benefit from

Stikfas became utter garbage, but the boss didn't care because he's rich as fuck from daddy's money. He eventually got charged for fucking a 17 year old whore and went into the slammer for stat rape.

Singapore is still full of the shitty later waves of stikfas, which will be rotting on shelves here forever.

God, these pics are making me feel pain that my collection is so far away. And it's also making me realize what an awesome figure Razorclaw was. I usually don't really go for like...werewolf-y type characters and such, but this guy was just awesome. Without this armor he just looked like a pretty normal panther, and he had that awesome flat sword and the boxing gloves...man what a fun figure.

I should rescue my Xevoz from my parents house.

Legendary Comic Book Heroes. We were a cunt hair away from fucking Grendel figures and a motherfucking Mean Machine, as well as a goddamn Big Guy BAF
>>
I have very fond memories of these. When I was young, I looked forward to every other weekend when my mother would take me on the 30 min drive to the nearest Target and each time I would get a different Xevoz figure. It's more the excitement of the trip I remember, though mixing and matching characters was still a blast. I had a box I'd throw them all in with the manuals and the little pieces used to make the odd dice-like things. I actually found it a year or two ago but I don't remember where it is now.

Stikfas were boring. sure, they came first and had things like a dragon guy and an alien robot but xevoz had more detailed parts and never really needed those stickers

Amen, z bots were the best. I would play with mine for hours. For some reason, I would always reenact a beast wars scenario of both teams crashing on a remote planet and battling for supremacy. The fang fighter (pic related) was always my base for the Voids.

I'd actually be more interested in Hero Mashers if they had actual wrists (the current joint set-up gives them forearm swivels, though), the elbow joint was put in the forearm to allow for a [below the] bicep swivel, and every weapon had the fingers wrap around the handle rather than half of them having handles being small pegs going into what are essentially boxes with holes (pic related). As of right now, the only ones I'm interested in are the Jurassic World ones.

Really? In NY, you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting a TRU, Target, or a Wal-Mart that DIDN'T have them. Hell, the first series were overordered and shelfwarmed so bad that they were clearanced everywhere.

I can't imagine "bad distribution" was that much of an issue, because even people in "Toothless Fuck, Missouri" were getting them

i don't wanna hurt your feelings anon

i used to be an avid goer of teh goldengonzo forum back in the Xevoz era

When shit was dead and this images came in. Some guy claiming to work for Hasbro said those photos where made with unfinished prototypes, painted to look pretty but actually being held together by wires and glue

I don't know how much of that was true

I also recall some people talking about a small finite number of Mechashells out there.

also the Ursa Khan prototype that was sold on ebay like last year (pic related)

>Not sure if its going to be made for other markets, or abandoned

Apparently these will be made for other markets but not in the US.

Hasbro has said that they still might release them in the US as a retailer exclusive since the major retailers like exclusive lines.

Hasbro also teased that they may also release them on HTS if they can't find a retailer to pick them up as an exclusive which makes sense. If they're going to go into production on them they might as well try to move as many units as possible. Or they could just offer them to online retailers with Hasbro accounts like BBTS.

Just cause US retail doesn't want them doesn't mean that you won't be able to get them.

I really loved the Simpsons figures that had the built in chip that would allow them to interact with others if you had a playset. Seems a like an idea in the same vein as "johnny long-torso", but the novelty of it at the time was enough to satisfy my 11-12 year old brain
