So this is at an overwatch event somewhere. Please blizzard release it soon. But, I hate that those fuck ups from the magik the gathering and game of thrones figures seem to have made this. So if there is an mp, it'll probably be 20$ and look like shit.

These somehow don't look real, but great to see figures. The question is who's the maker. It does seem to invoke Funko Legacy, but could this be in house? There's no markings and also silly jokes like for Genji doesn't include the soul of the dragon or something.

I'm starting to question how likely that these will actually be made and aren't just statues. My guess that they are is just that they're just too intricately articulated to be statues. Things like the double joints don't usually make it into these things (see the Marvel action figure variant covers), and the side panel saying to look for other figures in the wave.

It's more detailed than normal for a mock up but it's still a bit off. Genji's torso articulation looks like some fucked up mix of an ab crunch and a diaphram cut that I can't imagine works well.

The rumor say that Neca said "ok, here is scout, so valve, give me the green light"
and valve never answer back or said no.
Some like to think it is because they dont care for the stuff, or because the Valve lines were not that good, so they decide to stop them.

They'll probably eventually end up as display pieces at Blizzard.
Pretty sure these things are just a marketing stunt for the game, and not some sneak peek at an actual toyline. There's literally no reason to make a 12' prototype of a figure, and these things would probably buckle under their own weight if the joints were functional. They're just sculptures made to look like toys to promote the game.
That being said, if Overwatch proves successful, I imagine that we'll probably get figures of some sort. NECA seems like a likely bet.
I really hope we get Reinhardt and Bastion figures, i fucking love their designs, Bastion would 100% not have the ability to transform, and i doubt Reinhardt would have his shield, but i would still love to have some-one to hold back my Skeleton Warrior horde.

NECA's QC has gotten way better lately. The last two Alien and Predator waves were excellent, both older Xeno and Preds from NECA are ridden with loose joints QC issues.
Also Blizzard had a lot of success with the heroes of the storm figure from NECA, with a lot of bandwagoners who doesn't even play the game praising the Illidan, Tyrael, Arthas, and Stitch figures because of the top notch paint, sculpt, etc.

I'll check them out, despite how much I bitch about NECA I would really like to be proven wrong. Their old Valve stuff was alright-good for $20.

All of my Xenos and AVP preds hold poses just fine. Maybe you got shitty one, but everyone in NECA thread seems happy about the QC on the AVP lines so it might be one off.
The interlinked hip pegs are way better than what they used to have, e.g. the stupid peg that swivel around the crotch piece and either loose as fuck or perpetually frozen; remember Xenos have burly body, head and tails but twiggy legs and hands so it is really difficult to make them good QC wise.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but don't get your hopes up. This"action figure in a box" thing is apparently just a new gimmick for advertising.
If I recall Marvel even did some for variant comic covers for figures we'll never get. It's just meant to be neat. Of course we'll get figures of these down the line, but these specific boxes are advertising only.

Nah, no one who knows what they're doing gives Funko anything but license to produce Pops for normies, they'd license it to anyone else before giving real figures to Legends.
They'll probably give actual figure rights to a real toy company based in the US, Blizzard knows they have fans that'll spend thousands of dollars on WoW cosmetics, and (hopefully) they realize those same fans would pay $20 dollars for a bad toy just to have, but they would also pay $50-80-100+ for a really really good toy, so I'm hoping they'll milk that market as well as the token mediocre-average NECA crowd.
You don't pay tens of thousands of dollars to have giant 2:1 scale action figures crafted and shipped around the world in a full on box and everything if you don't have big merchandising plans.
