For a long time the Revo was basically the only decent, articulated collector's figure of the character available. The biggest problem with it is that it's a Yamaguchi sculpt, so it's designed for dynamic poses and looks awkward as shit standing straight up like that. It also tries real hard to mimic the goofy proportions of Mamo/Part II era Lupin, which can make for some awkward articulation like those strange ass shoulders and the tiny knees that pop apart constantly.
The good news is that if you have both the silly proportions of the Revo's head and hands mean they go really well with the Figuarts as you can see here >>5679847
The Revo comes with a lot more accessories too. Lock pick hands, a jewel holding hand, a revo-box disguised as a safe, a glass of booze, table and chair, bullet impact effects, and a rappelling rope. So considering how damn cheap it is, it actually works really well as an accessory pack for the Figuarts even now.

I've been salivating over it for a while now. I always hear good things but I kinda put it on the back burner now that the SHF is here. I still love the insanely lanky proportions of it and the Fujiko Mine design in general.
I put off watching that show for so long because I thought it was just gonna be some shitty spin-off and when I finally watched it I was so very pleasantly surprised. If anything it's probably the best the series has ever looked, though Jigen's Gravestone definitely comes close.

I made a 4 post long review of the Fujiko series in the previous thread. It is without a doubt the best looking Lupin series. The saturated colors and the cross hatching which is used for shadows gives it a unique style. It looks like a really expensive comic book but animated. I also notice certain lighting techniques that give the show a certain spark that makes it gorgeous to look at. It's hard to explain, it's the kind of thing where you see little speckles of light twinkling during a specific scene that just lights up the entire moment. Really gives it a larger than life kind of feel. Well anyway, that's just something little I notice in it. It really is the best looking anime I've seen since probably the 90's. most anime nowadays look the same. Literally every show had the same generic art. They really went all out on the show. It's probably the best animated Lupin since Dead or Alive. That film had a very beautiful artstyle. The amount of detail that went onto the architecture was incredible. The thing that sucked about Dead or Alive though was that Lupin looked really fucking weird. He had these big bushy eyebrows that just looked ridiculous. Also the plot wasn't that exciting, but it was beautiful to look at. The Fujiko series is not perfect, but it's still a fun watch. Really want to get the RAH Lupin, but I wouldn't pay over $200 for it.
I should mention the new Lupin series is also a very beautiful show. If you get the chance, take the time to just look at the backgrounds in the show. The amount of detail is truly stunning. From cracks in walls, to the designs on a chandelier that's at a far distance. Truly impressive.

I bought pic related a few years ago, back when I was first getting into collecting figures. I had no idea what prize figures were at the time and from the oversized fabric clothes I thought it was some vintage doll from back when the movie was first released, and figured it would be cool to have.

The absolute worst are Return of Pycal and eternal mermaid. At least with Green vs Red, it had a lot of cool aspects. These movies are just stupid and boring.
The best will always be Cagliostro and Mamo. I also really love Fuma and Babylon despite it's flaws. Walter P38 and Missed By a Dollar are the best movies of the 90's.
Episode 0 is great. I think Jigen's Gravestone is overrated even though I love it. It's just way too short. They could of done more. Loved the Mamo references.
Also the 1st Detective Conan crossover is really underrated. It was a great film. I here return the treasure is also really good but it's one of the few I've never seen. Dead or Alive is not very good movie, but it's worth watching just for the art and animation.

It means it can only be ordered through certain retailers, usually (and in this case) only from the manufacturer. That means you have to pay what they want you to pay, including shipping, and you can't get nice discounts or combined shipping from places like amico. Depending on the manufacturer, it also might mean dealing with a proxy/forwarder, if they won't ship outdide of Japan.
Luckily enough, Bandai will ship him outside of Japan, so you just have to deal with paying full retail + global markup + shipping. It sucks, but it could be so much worse.

He might show up in the aftermarket but it always gets a bit hazy with exclusives. You can't count on it like you can with a regular release. If you must have him and cost isn't an issue, I suggest pre-ordering.

all Lupin designs look different. Yes all they'd really need to do is reprint the body molds, but the heads are completely different in each series. Not to mention, they'd obviously have different accessories. We'll always end up getting figures of Jigen, Goemon, and Zenigata, but what are the chances of ever getting a Lupin figure in the design of his looks from Series 3 or Cagliostro. It would be so cool.
