>the only good figures available are years old with shit articulation
What's her name, /toy/?
Bonus points if hard to find or expensive.
extra bonus points if they won't stand up. Those things are worse than Jazwares Sonic toys for having huge heads and tiny bodies to support them, at least Sonic has big feet that tries to counter the weight.
>>5663728
>panel lining joints
Why do companies do this?
>>5663791
prototype pics. These don't have joint cuts. The real toys do.
I love the show and kind of want these just to have them in figure form, but I'm a bit hesitant due to the price on these. Anyone have them?
>>5663728
This makes me want a Hank Hill figure.
>>5663812
>>5663815
That face is fucked but I still hope this is real.
>>5663824
They're real. I used to have Bill and Peggy.
>>5663824
It is. I remember Sam Goody and a comic shop in the mall carrying them when I was a kid and thinking that as such a weird thing to make toys of. There's a lot of early 2000's toys that'd probably apply to this thread. It was an interesting era.
;_;
>>5663796
I had them back in the day. The heads are solid and very heavy. The limbs are thin and fragile. The tiny feet have 1mm peg holes and the bases have thin pegs that only barely support them. They tried to compensate for v-hips with thigh swivels and knees, but the things could barely stand with feet flat. While they are "the best" merch of the show(the Pop vinyls are horrendous, like absolutely horrifying compared to normal Pops), you'd be better off leaving them in the packages I think excluding leg joints altogether would've helped.
I wager the QC was poor because it was that 90s era when no one was expected to open their toys anyway.
>>5663846
Early 2000s toy collecting was a really interesting thing, like companies were starting to make toys to appeal to adult consumers and a lot of the stuff was shit but it was still a really cool era. Mezco was really killing it back then, their Hellboy comic book figures are better that 99% of what's coming out today.
>>5663861
I still think all the Xiaolin Showdown toys were a bit too big, but still looked great. Part of me wishes i got Clay, now that im not really a completionist like back then
>>5663911
they look kinda cheap but they're articulated in the right places and generally look on model, wish ATLA had gotten more toys on par with these.
>>5663911
I have the giant Dojo figure still. He's got all these swivel joints so he can be posed into weird linear shapes. He ain't bad as far as sculpt goes though.
>>5663873
Thanks anon, appreciate all the information. I found both Beavis and Butthead, as well as the radioactive glow in the dark Beavis loose on eBay for a great price so I just went for it. I'll probably throw them on Tamashii stands and let them chill on my shelf.
>best figure is a crane prize that has zero articulation and costs at least $100
Maybe suicide isn't a terrible option.
>>5663934
I forgot about this one. I had to settle for the tiny gashapon set that released a while back.
>>5663934
The amiibo isn't too bad.
>>5663728
>the Funko figures released 14 years later look worse
Fucking how
>>5664151
pic related
I remember seeing these in a bargain bin at a store years ago.
every single one of these
Why does everything else look like shit???
The old Palisades figures didn't quite cut it for me.
>>5664154
>they all go for like $50+ on ebay
dammit. hollow vinyls woulda made good custom pretenders of runamuck and runabout from transformers (hey, it'd be fitting)
Fuck me
>>5664258
Those hips look awful.
>>5664226
>Goombas not being the pawns
>No Koopa Troopas
>No Hammer Bros
>No Lakitu
wtf is this shit
>>5664258
True hero of the series.
>>5664165
what is that? gantz?
>>5664258
As much as I generally dislike Revoltech I think they would be the perfect fit for afro samurai figures
>>5663911
Dat Kimiko. I didn't even know this show got any figures.
>>5664352
code lyoko if i remember right
>>5663934
I wanted to sell my set of Ness and Jeff and a Mr Saturn with their boxes for only $130 shipped but no one bought them. They are the large sized ones too
>>5663728
I need everything in this picture
>>5663728
>tfw no Revoltech Turbo-Man or Dementor
>>5663728
Just got the glow in the dark version of Beavis and holy shit the hips and knees are loose as fuck. It's a great sculpt but they're too damn loose. Can't even get it to stand with a Tamashii Act 4
>>5663728
>skull
>death rock
Just terrible
>>5666765
Rip in peace
This vinyl figure of Mechazawa.
>>5667559
Death rock is a genre, pleb.
>>5667559
Liscensing, anon.
>>5664236
The only one of the set I got was Mr Horse. I couldn't pass on him.
>>5663835
>Bill and Peggy
Not criticizing but strange choice, what made you choose them?
>>5663728
Would love a good Zim figure but the only ones on E-bay aren't that great and go for rape prices.
By the way how fuckin great were Palisades?
>>5668811
I remember always kinda wanting these but never getting around to it. They look great.
>>5668799
Only two I could ever find
>>5663815
Where to cop? I found a loose one on ebay for $40 or with peggy for $60, then on amazon they're $80.
>>5669369
Pretty much just eBay and Amazon. Good luck, anon. They're not cheap.
The comic shop I used to live near had a Drummer figure for sale, but his face was too derpy for me to buy. Heroclix has been slowly working through The Wildstorm Universe so I kinda hope we get Planetary as a subtheme whenever the next Batma-I mean DC set comes out.
>>5670500
While I'm on the subject, I'd fucking love if Mezco or somebody did a line of Astro City Figures. Some of the designs would be legit beautiful to see as toys, although the market for the figures would consist of LITERALLY 6 people.
>>5668811
God the LCS in green bay had the whole set for years at discounted prices.
Zim just wasnt that popular in that crowed.
https://www.figurerealm.com/actionfigure?action=seriesitemlist&id=480
I wish we got revoltechs of every MGS character :'(
I just remembered I liked Inuyasha at one point. I almost collected them all, but they werent even playable. i feel sorry for the latecomer who has to pay latecomer fees for these guys.. and the one figma
>>5663911
>>5668131
one figure goes around 200 on ebay, but I doubt anyone is buying these at that price. I got them all still unopened since some Italian guy once sold them all together for 40€ on ebay. Shoulda bought two sets, but whatever.
I doubt anyone but hardcore XS fans would want it... and from those, I think Jack Spicer and Omi are the most valuable. The failed TV show sequel (deservedly) had no toys, so I suppose they will just up in value a bit.
The Play Arts figures are too fucking huge.
>>5676705
I always thought the original figures were charming, the Play Arts aren't just too fucking huge they are the dumb as fuck redesigns.
>>5676712
Same here and yeah, that too.
>tfw classic style FFVII figma/Revoltechs/Figuarts never
>>5676705
I still think Vivi and the DQ8's were the best in the entire original line. I guess Fullmetal Alchemist too, but Ed couldnt hold his spear and was replaced by the revoltech
>>5676732
Vivi probably was the best FF figure they've done but your picture shows what his problems were, the joints had terrible paint rub and they never really painted him that well to begin with.
>>5663728
Try being a Brave series fan. It's basically an unending nightmare, especially if GaoGaiGar isn't your favorite.
The Mask- the only solid representation of the character was the Asmus Toys 1:6 version, which was UNLICENSED, and has been off the market for years so you will not get one now.
The Kenner line was just dumb gimmicks galore, and Toy Island was Kenner repacks and cartoon figures of random costumes EXCEPT FOR the iconic look. The closest they made was a talking figure which has giant speaker slits in it.
>>5663728
Wish Bandai didn't stop making Mega Man figuarts.
>>5676740
I've always kinda hoped that Brave would somehow wind up in TF fiction just so we could get new toys and shit released stateside
>>5663815
skin tone makes him look like a vampire
I passed these up every time I saw them, and to this day I can't believe I could be so stupid. They're like the only actually good looking Phineas and Ferb toys beyond the Disney Infinity figures. They're impossible to find now.
>>5668811
I have a shit ton of these. They look great, yet are about as study as tissue paper.
They were hard as fuck to find, too. Never got a Miss Bitters, a neutral Gaz, or a Doggie GIR not covered in germs.
