Stumbled upon these at a Walmart and as I've not seen anything out there at ALL besides a Toy Fair image and they're not due until June, I figured I'd share.
I'll start with the packaging, GFreddy's staying in his box until I track down a Foxy anyways.
It's simple in design, which is nice, the "BUILD YOUR OWN SPRINGTRAP" kind of mars the otherwise very clean design, but you can get a good look at the figure from all angles to decide whether you like the paint apps, which is nice.

The back is also very simple, no backstories or flavor text of any kind, it's the same back for all of them. Also is labeled 'Not a toy.' Oh Funko, you and your shady method of dodging quality controls.
Also, the packaging's pretty sturdy. The figure itself is sandwiched in place by two formed plastic shells, and the main bubble is glued on the front and back. That card is NOT going to survive if you want your figures, folks(and good riddance)

The figures themselves are very simple, but it's charming for the most part and you can get a decent pose going. The articulation is the same between all the figures I have opened so far(Freddy/Bonnie/Chica), consisting of balljointing in neck, shoulders, elbows, hips(highly restricted), and knees. The wrists are swivels.
Problems I've encountered: Creaky tight shoulders, slightly loose everywhere else, Freddy's neck-post is slightly loose, Chica can't balance the cupcake easily, and no waist or ankle jointing at all. I think Bonnie and both Freddies share the same body and just swap heads, but that's ok with me. Bonnie's guitar is a little thick so it's hard to get in the hand, but manageable, Freddy can easily hold the mike but at an angle due to the hand-pad.
Springtrap appears to share the same jointing, but I don't have the complete figure.

The ball joint system allows for part-swapping and disassembly, really hoping they do a Wave 2 with a compatible endoskeleton. Here's Bonnie completely disassembled, I think the wrists are on silver posts as well but I don't want to break it if it's not a ball joint.

I picked up a Manolo from the swapmeet the other day. I'm really glad I only paid a few bucks for it. Loose joints, shitty articulation, top heavy so it tends to tilt back on it's stand, and doesn't even have a spot on it's back to hold his swords.

The arms? Yes, easily. The legs? Nope, the crotch part of the suit is too bulky to allow for much forward movement to begin with, let alone full-on knee-to-chest, plus no articulation in the ankles. You can't get that gaping maw either, no articulation in the head(hell, since it's just a straight repaint, he's still got both ears).
However, due to the nature of his joints, you could detach his legs and pile them under his arms so it kind of looks right, here's what I got out of him in 5 minutes.

He said they're balljoints, so I doubt it. Your best bet would be just to pop the legs off and pose it in an angle that you can't tell they're off.
The figures look alright, but I don't think they'll really shine without the super harsh lighting the game shines on them. I am curious to see if anyone mods them to have better articulation but it isn't like they're dynamic characters so whatever.

That's exactly why I was ok with scooping them up despite knowing they'd probably be lacking. The paint on Funko's usually the best thing about them, and with them being Chuck E. style animatronics, their legs being restricted's not a horrible thing. Also, was just messing with Gold and his hip joint popped apart(the actual joining peg pulled out, not the ball/cup), gonna have to glue that.
That said, the hips are fine for doing the splits...up to about 90 degrees.

Found a set here in Oklahoma. These're pretty solid figures, I must say! Mostly everyone has fairly tight joints, or at least tight enough to hold poses. Freddy's the loosest limbs of them all, and Bonnie has wobbly head. But I'm super happy with these figures.

Here's the gang, all together. Foxy's got the best articulation, nothing restricting his knees and a ball-jointed wrist. The neck-post on mine even seems like a double joint, I'm wondering if it's actually like that for all of them. Sadly, his eyepatch doesn't flip up.
Springtrap's pretty decent, but his hands are flat like Chica's and his shoulders are the most restricted of all the figures due to the shoulder pads being over the ball and not on the cup like every other figure has had. He's got nice details though, little blood-spurts from his face and ear.
Overall, I got them for 11.97 a piece plus tax, bringing the total to about $65, so Springtrap being complete makes it even more of a good buy.

I actually grew up in the early '80s. Nobody like those robots, not even really young kids. Everyone acknowledged they were hideous and creepy and the staff usually kept the curtain closed when they weren't required to run a show, and even they supplemented them with living human employees on stage in costumes.

I got all the Mystery Minis! Here's a chart showing where to get them and what they look like. The back cover artwork for some of them is different than the final product (seems to be a common thing for Mystery Minis). Now to wait for Series 2.

I tried a little and not really. Arms are fine, those can swap no issue. I swapped Bonnie and Chica's legs, but they didn't make much of a difference. The Springtrap legs were worse and I don't have Foxy yet to see if they work with his torso better. The legs don't have a lot of range to start with. The heads have different post pole heights so you're going to have to trial and error it a bit. Bonnie's low hanging jaw needed a higher peg, so it didn't sit right on Chica and Chica didn't sit right on Bonnie's body.
I just got normal Freddy today so two to go. I wish the mouths were articulated. That's my biggest complaint so far

The cheat sheets can minimize your chances at error but it won't completely eliminate it. Suppose there was only one figure left in a prior case. Then they open the second case and someone buys Springtrap or Foxy or whoever. So then the store puts the leftover figure into the new case display.

The cheat fucking worked wonders for me! I was trying to get a Mangle and not have to pay almost $30 for it as that's the typical price online. I managed to find a Walmart that had just put out the minis. Since I had never found ANY minis at Walmart, I was excited. I remembered this guide and bought three minis. I got the Glow-in-the-dark Toy Freddy, Bonnie, and finally, Mangle. The guide worked flawlessly.
I'm seriously debating on whether or not I should get the Funko Plush Freddies.
I was only going to get the Sanshee plushies, but then I saw the jumbo/regular Funko Foxy and I decided to buy them for a set. I have a feeling they are going to make the rest of the group too, so this might get pretty expensive in the long run.

i finally found my first 2 figures at a local gamestop, (all they had where Gf and Chica) and so far i've only taken Gf out because i just plan to leave him on a shelf. But when i started testing out his joints his upper thigh ball joints on both legs (leg to waist) started making clicking noises. Im worried the same thing might happen to the Chica, so if there is anything i could do before opening it that would be great to know.
tl:dr how do I reduce ball joint friction and is there anything i should do before opening my figures?

The clicking seems to be 'normal' from what I've seen with my figures and heard from others. I've heard some folks have used an ultra-fine sandpaper to make them a little less frictiony, but you could also use a soap or lubricant too I guess.

every figure is different. just sand down the balljoint a little like another anon did earlier. sand, test, sand, until you don't get the clicks anymore. a dull nail file, light sandpaper should do it.
