In my opinion the mechatro wego line of robots is super cute, they are 1/35 (so around 3") and the are well articulated and have interchangeable parts (even though they are mostly identical, with different colors schemes), also they are partially die cast and come with an acrylic case for individual display. For the price they go around 3k or 4k yens depending on the model, they are kind of hard to get once they release so most people preorder them. Oh, also there are some "gunpla" kits for them that are cheaper, around 1.7k yens, but they are harder to come by...
