But it got no ad budget and "cinema snob" assholes hate that movie even though Dark Knight was fucking shit and they collectively circle jerk to it because Ledger died. Not that you can expect much from idiots like Doug Walker, Brad Jones and other admitted Bill Hicks fans, they've already displayed poor taste.

Quesadilla might have approved some really stupid shit, but he did more good than harm.
The fact you want shit from the 90s to be brought back only shows you have shit taste. The 90s was full of really really fucking stupid shit and pretty much killed everything good about the XMen, Spider-Man, Thor, Punisher, and dozens of other characters.
The 00s brought most of these characters back to life, in stories that rivaled the best from the 80s and 70s.
Even stuff like Morrison's XMen, which had some really corny and edgy ideas, it still shines as a great story, even if things needed some of the crazier ideas to be retconned (Magneto).

The only thing really abhorrently bad about the clone saga is how it dropped its originally intended plotline to shove in green goblin. Retconned Judas Traveller to be a charlatan, no time travel ending making both the real peter, and the awful idea that green goblin was waiting in the shadows.
It is pretty fun story, but man did it set a precedent that is sour today.
