So who's getting one?
>>
>>5648322

This meme toy is still popular?
>>
It's about time... sure I'll get one.
>>
>>5648322
what about that 6 inch one? how do you even order from these guys, its a pretty intricate system from what I heard.
>>
>>5648322
Do you have to pre-order on their site or will it be on like amiami or something? Also is the mask transparent or solid white?
>>
Whoa whoa whoa what's going on here? They're taking pre-orders now instead of having limited production runs? They aren't allowed to do that! Part of the appeal of this type of figure is the rare and limited nature of them. If they're just going to produce more then what's even the point of collecting them? Re-release for the poorfag piece of shit latecomer plebarinos, then? Well, time to cash-out...
>>
I have one and the Carb and the NYCC synthetic human.

I'm going to get one, maybe two.
>>
>>5648847
Speak for yourself.
>>
>>5648322
150 bucks? From the pictures I've seen, it does look pretty sweet. AmiAmi better give it a good discount for me to preorder.
>>
>>5648322
what about the 1/12th one?
>>
>>5648886
I don't think you understands how this works. It won't be on Amiami.
>>
>>5648940
Do you just pre-order from 1000toys site?
>>
>>5648729
It doesn't look too complicated.

What does this mean? Will they charge soon after we place the order? Or when they release the figure?
>>
>>5649014
interesting. any news on when it may come out? or an estimate? I need to plan this out. it's a pretty expensive figure.
>>
>>5649020
Deleted my post 'cause I'm sure I'm wrong.

And It's supposed to come out in September.
>>
>>5649023
so are you not sure? will they both charge immediately?
>>
>>5649027
they probably will finalize the shipping day closer to release date now that I think of it.

How's that minimum wage walmart lifestyle working out for you?
>>
Do these guys come with any accessories? Or is it just the figure and a face mask?
>>
>>5649174
Figure and mask.
>>
>>5648913
Seconding this.
>>
Are the eyes and jaw under the mask articulated?
>>
>>5648322
So wait, do these look like the blank thing in the OP or do they have the orange shoulders and text and numbers all over them like >>5648863?
>>
>>5649222
Samesies. Seeing them change up their game to allow a proper run like this instead of limited sales makes me excited about the pocket sized releases on the horizon. I don't want any extra bullshit hoops to jump through, I just want to buy some toys. I'm glad they're doing so well as a company. With luck we'll get more cool shit from them now that they have a wider audience. I know they mentioned before that they weren't ready to launch the Industrial Divinities mecha line yet because too few people knew what they were.

>>5649367
That one with the orange shoulder was a limited SDCC variant.
>>
>>5648729
>>5648913
>>5649520
I think it'll make for a pretty nice giant synthetic golem type thing when posed with smaller figures. I can understand wanting a smaller one if you're into the source material though.
>>
>>5648322
$150? I thought they were $120? Why'd they raise the price? I hope these one come with more stuff if they cost more. They could really use more hands.
>>
>>5649559
It's $150 with shipping included.
>>
the snakeeyes they are doing looks nice too
>>
>>5648322
>>5649575
Kind of wish these had posable fingers just for silly pics.
>>
>>5649569
It used to be $120 with shipping including.
>>
>>5649582
I wish they had them so they could hold things.
>>5649592
It did?
>>
>>5649600
Yeah, they used to be $120 with free shipping.

>>5649575
Looks radical, didn't know they were making it.
>>
Can those weird assassin ones still be gotten at a reasonable price?
>>
>>5648847
Most relevant post in thread and it is largely ignored. Care to explain?
>>
>>5649137
pretty shitty man to be honest. hopefully when I graduate from school I won't have to be financially responsible and save money.
>>
>>5649985
It's weak bait, calling the figures shit would be more effective. Also your posting style is already a little distinct, almost like a parody of a troll, you should try to be at least as subtle as subjectanon, he's the bare minimum really.
>>
>>5648863
God damn those go for like $1000 now. I don't really care for the weathering but the transparent mask and all the logos and shit look way cooler.
>>
>*Billing from Paypal will be done when the purchase is completed .

Does this mean they'll charge you once you order?
>>
>>5650036
Yes.
>>
>>5650044
Nice, thanks.
>>
>>5649544
What? There's source material?

Salsa por favor!
>>
>>5650146
I think it was Biomega but I could be wrong.
>>
>>5650027
The confused/shocked/sensationalised posting nature sounds more like Peon to be honest.
>>
>>5650146
It's by a mangaka who does similar designs in one of his series, but the figures aren't specifically from that series.
>>
>>5650146
>>5650150
Yeah it is.

I've never read Biomega (I should probably remedy that) but so glad these are getting a reissue, it looks like the ultimate artist mannequin.
>>
>>5650192
>ultimate artist mannequin

I think this might be the one but it's pretty expensive last I checked

>>
>>5650217
That articulation is pretty insane there, especially the shoulders, but some of it looks needlessly complicated. Like why have the wrists work in that weird way?
>>
>>5650217
I forgot about that thing, it's such a cool concept but I really wish it had more realistic proportions.

OH SHIT WHAT

Biomega is my personal favorite of Nihei's works, would highly recommend if you're interested. The story doesn't make much sense, but the action more than makes up for it. I didn't notice the Toha symbol at the top until you guys mentioned it.

My first time on /toy/ and it feels like I've struck gold. I built a few Warhammer tanks back in the day and was thinking of getting back into the craft starting with Kotobukiya's Tsugumori model. Looked up a few guides, wandered over here, and it seems I'll be visiting much more often in the future.

I hope they produce the motorcycles from Biomega too, those things were badass.

>>5650217
Haven't watched the video yet but that face is kinda freaking me out.
>>
wow, can someone tell me more about this company?
the pics l see are awesome, and on their site l see they're planning a takeya series, and l really like his sculpts.
th website doesn't say much about them..

do they usually only do 1/6 figs? and do they sell only through their website?
what's their average price?
>>
>>5649011
>We perform settlement processing for credit cards after the shipping day is finalized
>Billing from Paypal will be done when the purchase is completed
Using a debit/credit card will charge when it ships, using paypal will charge immediately. The first sentence just means it'll show as pending until you pay, whether that's now or when it releases.

>>5650365
Mostly, they're making a new version of the original frame with an updated sculpt at the 1/12th scale. They only sell on their site and exclusives at cons. The original was $150 and the others have been about $180-$200(?)
>>
>>5650424
Huh, didn't know the Carb had a skull face too. Does that one with the big ass helmet have a skull face?

Are the masks interchangable?

160 KB, 1280x853
>>5650445
Unfortunately no, the first two (Original and SDCC) are interchangeable completely with each other but all releases after that have slightly larger skulls and masks. So while the bigger masks technically fit the originals, the originals can't fit the new ones.
>>
>>5650453
Damn, that sucks. What about the one with hair, is it's skull bigger too?
>>
File: image.jpg (247 KB, 1280x853) Image search: [Google]

247 KB, 1280x853
>>5650456
No idea, I don't believe it's out but I'd imagine so as there have been 5 releases since then and all of which have had larger skulls. That and the one with hair only covers the front half of the cranium so again, maybe.
>>
>>5649559
Do you get any other hands with it?
>>
>>5650494
Wow, that's some very precise hotgluing you did there, I'm impressed.
>>
>>5650232

What's weird about the wrists? That's the normal human way.
>>
>>5648838
their site, and the mask is solid. The transparent mask was a con exclusive and they sold the leftovers through their site
>>
>>5650631
mine came with a pair of fists

>>5650440
damn it I completely forgot about the two black ones, they still available? And what the fuck are the after effects in >>5650494? I need them
>>
>>5650769
>And what the fuck are the after effects in >>5650494? I need them
Jesus christ man, what fucking rock have you been living under?
>>
>>5650769
It's Bandai fire effects, they are not even that photogenic without post-production, lightning or any other fuckeries. IRL as well, if your collection is cramped in grandma's wood cabinet, don't bother.
>>
File: image.jpg (218 KB, 1280x683) Image search: [Google]

218 KB, 1280x683
>>5650769
Nope. Those are just the bandai fire effects under blacklight.
>>
Totally getting one of them, I missed out on every single one of them up until now and I won't risk it again.
>>
>>5648847
Everyone laugh at this elitist faggot who treats toys like investments
>>
>>5650747
It's weird because it's needlessly complicated. The only benefit I can see of making the forearm shift like that is maintaining an extremely subtle proportional accuracy but the proportions are already pretty weird to begin with.
>>
>>5650963
Man the original looks way better with the Test Body's eyes.
>>
>>5650631
the original one came with 3 pairs of hands (the ones on the figure and two extra ones)
>>
>>5648847

That might be the appeal for collectors and that's only due to them being on the more expensive side but I don't think that's what the manufacturer wants.
>>
>>5651556
Wrong, the original only came with two sets of hands, closed fists and the open hands. They didn't start coming with more hands until the Anti-CaRB squad.

The original was also $150 once all fees and shipping was included.
>>
>>5649559
Everything is articulated except the hands? What the fuck. Even gunpla has articulated fingers in some models for much less than this figure.
>>
>>5652487
Articulated hands still aren't that common among 1/6s. Also the hands on MGs kind of suck.
>>
>>5652487
How often do you see ANY 1/6th figures with finger articulation? Hell how often do you see finger articulation on any figure scale? The only reason gunpla is so cheap is because the plastic is cheap and you do all the fucking work.

Most gunpla doesn't even have articulated fingers until you go into the PG range or buy third party hands
>>
>mfw I have enough money to double dip or triple

I might just to make my money vack.
>>
>>5652810
You might have missed your chance to turn a profit on these, when they were limited and the demand was high they went for a fair amount, but now that they're doing open preorders you'll be harder pressed to sell them for as much. Best case is you buy three, keep one, and sell the other two for $200 a year or more down the line to make back some of what you spent.
>>
>>5653281
True.

Doesn't seem that worth it anymore I might just buy 2 and keep one sealed.
>>
>>5649137
> Walmart
> not being a NEET in your parent's basement
>>
>>5652492
agree on the figure part, but you dont know shit about gunpla, every recent MG has articulated fingers (and with recent l don't meant last year), and also the RG line has articulated fingers in 1/144 scale.
