Yeah. If they HAD to go samurai they could have at least added more spider like components, like another pair of arms maybe. Even spider-like fangs would fit the typical samurai mask aesthetic perfectly.

Ninja were pretty much mercenaries from the start. Social status they are similar if you look at certain types.
Anyways they added way more armor for the Realization version, when he only had helmet and chest and shoulders. Seems overdoing it. And they added all that ninja stuff on him, but still called him Ronin.
Mandalorians can be seen as a Ninja clan and their style of using a wide arsenal including explosives, high maneuver combat screams ninja than samurai(and then loser ronin).

They're between noble masters, which is a very different thing. Also samurai/ronin can be and were ninjas, samurai is a caste, ninja is a profession, although there were clans of them they weren't a separate caste. But the guy you're responding to is a troll so it doesn't really matter.

Folks in Japan still generalizes them as kimono regardless of the technical official names of each part of the clothing. With the full set they might say haori too but still will say I went to something something in a kimono just like saying I went there in a suit.

I actually like it. It's a very unique and stylized figure and will stand apart from all the other Spider-Man figures in my collection.
I hope this series sees some mileage and we get other Marvel characters. I'd be surprised if we didn't get an Iron Man out of this.
