How often your toy stores have some kind of Display or Diorama
>>5625772
This is my favorite pose in that one
>>5625772
I never want anons here making fun of my posing in my collection pics again. I mean look at this shit. They didn't even try.
>>5625827
But neither did you, anon-kun.
>>5625772
doenst onslaught have wings?

He has a shell. like a turtle.
I close to never see them anymore. It's sad really.
>>5626262
oh okay. i guess he's just missing his spiked gauntlets. stop making me hate things, capcom/90s marvel
>>5625772
Half of them look like they're trying to do the robot.
>>5625772
where is this display exactly? the reflection shows yourself but also shelves of other carded toys
>>5626324

Kek. I know they probably don't have any employees who regularly pose action figures, but those poses are hilariously bizarre. Like all the awkward standing is one thing, but what madman would think of just having Sharon sit there like that with a gun. And Ghostrider just looks like he's having a good laugh at all of them.
>>5625772
Live in shitty Central-EU country. Not many toy stores. Dioramas: more or less never.
>>5627880
I'd like to say weeaboo overdesignedness is different, but Liefeld himself said that anime was one of his inspirations. So I can blame the whole 90's era of comics on Japan.

>So I can blame the whole 90's era of comics on Japan.
You sound like subjectanon, are you subjectanon?
>>5627913
Literally zero of that influence carried over to his work, though.
>>5627913
>So I can blame the whole 90's era of comics on Japan.
I guess you missed J Scott Campbell trying to draw "manga" style
though he was never very good at it.
>>5628159
>I guess you missed J Scott Campbell trying to draw "manga" style
are you sure you aren't thinking of Adam Warren?
J Scott Campbell started as a Jim Lee clone but came into his own as an artist. I like his stuff desu famalamadingdong.
>>5625772
Practically all of them? Unless you're talking stores like the big ones such as Toys R Us or something. Most smaller shops tend to have a display.
>>5628385
>J Scott Campbell started as a Jim Lee clone but came into his own as an artist. I like his stuff desu famalamadingdong.
WTF are you talking about?
J Scott Campbell was cartoony elongated art, distinctly diffferent from Jim Lee. If anything, he's closer to Rob Liefeld, except with better proportions.
>>5625772
Virtually never unless it's the mandatory Lego ones most big retailers have; but when I do see them they make me cringe.
I know not everyone sits around fiddling with toys all day and there are some inept motherfuckers out there, but how hard is it to pose something in a way that looks somewhat natural?
>>5625772
We don't have any toy stores here outside of Toys R Us, I mean unless you count the displays at places like Barnes and Noble.
>>5630025
his art was wasted on comic books, when he should've just done hentai instead.
The same could be said for any artist at Image that drew females, really.
>>5630025
Wildstorm hired him because he was aping Jim Lee's style at the time, but if you want to believe they hired him because of his cartoony elongated rob liefeld style, you are free to believe that.
>>5630111
you mean a style he barely drew in once hired?
Keep refusing to believe reality.
>>5630025
Rob Liefeld?, you are fullblown stupid...
>>5630119
>Keep refusing to believe reality.
The argument of someone that has no argument.
You guys are a textbook example of narcissism of minor differences; Jim Lee, Rob Liefeld, J. Scott Campbell were all basically the same shit. A few of them got better later, sure, but the differences between Lee's style and Liefeld's in the early days of Image is so minor the casual reader could barely tell. The main thing is that all of them where gong for a style that was very unlike the house styles Marvel and DC used in the 80's. Whether Campbell was closer to Lee or Liefeld makes little difference because the real thing was that he was closer to them, than someone like Byrne, Curt Swan, or Buscema.
>comic books matter
no thank you
>>5630096
agreed. also the closest thing we got to nudity was the gen 13 movie
>>5630194
Ill admit I had a crush on Fairchild. Tall redhead. Yummy.
>>5630096
meh, after seeing so many professional comic artists do porno or nudity, their stuff really does nothing for me.
>>5630111
>Wildstorm hired him because he was aping Jim Lee's style at the time
You're thinking of Charest or Brett, because campbell's style is way too scrunchedupfaced poorly proportioned Liefeldians, especially his early stuff.
>>5630126
>movie casual who doesn't know anything
See pic
I really really w ish DC Direct would make Image/Wildstorm figures already.
>>5630249
>I really really w ish DC Direct would make Image/Wildstorm figures already.
Hasbro would be better suited- one glance at Transformers or GI Joe shows they know shit about body proportions. Hasbro seems to think heads are the size of hands.
>>5630253
>transformers
>body proportions
wtf are you talking about? Any proportion is the correct proportion with made up robots.
As for GI Joes, their figures are designed to have stuff sit over the body. So the body needs to be skinny in order for a jacket to fit over it properly, without looking like some overstuffed turkey. Sometimes they'll retool a figure and the head isn't suited at all for the body.
Also, DCD's already been making figures based on former Image artists, but i want to see Fairchild or any fucking WildCAT made into a proper action figure. I'd kill for a Travis Charest artist figure line.
